About IKAROS
IKAROS is a virtual reality adventure game developed from unity and works under HTC VIVE environment.
In the game, player will control a cyborg character who need to escape from a huge underground world that full of traps and killing machines, as well as discover the hidden conspiracy behind.
This project wants to overcome the restriction of player physical movement and virtual reality sickness occurs in real world, so as to increase immersive experience during gameplay.From this background, certain kind of redirected walking technology had been applied to allow players explore unbounded virtual worlds while walking naturally through physically limited space.

It used roomscale movement and it doesn't let you adjust the size of the play area, so if your play area isn't the right size, expect problems. Still, you can use the Steam VR realignment feature to keep flipping your play area so that you have the space needed to beat the game. I did it and it's annoying, but perfectly doable. Also, it is playable on the Quest 3, so that's good. Overall, it's free and short, so I think it's worth a playthrough as long as you like puzzle games and don't mind the jank that comes with the roomscale movement gameplay.

Графика минималистична, но эффективно передаёт тревожность, а музыка и звуки — добавляют напряжения. Игра заставляет задуматься о природе сознания и границах реальности. Несмотря на короткую длину, она оставляет сильное впечатление. Рекомендую тем, кто ценит атмосферные, размышляющие проекты.
