I had to stop writing this review at one point just to catch my breath from laughing. The more I thought about my experience with "Impact to the Head", the harder it became to keep myself together. At its core, the game is a simple first-person directional combat experience. The player can punch, while incoming attacks have to be blocked from one of four cardinal directions by moving the mouse toward the attack and activating block. Enemies vary the speed of their strikes, and sometimes fake an attack from one side before quickly switching to another, throwing off the player’s timing and direction. There are also a few inoffensive “mash the button” moments, along with a brief shooting section that seems intended less to add gameplay variety and more to heighten the narrative immersion. What is so funny about that? On one hand, the gameplay is clearly designed to create a tense hand-to-hand combat experience. It forces you to watch your opponent with full attention, react quickly, and strike with confidence in a fight-to-the-death situation. On the other hand, you are beating the crap out of an old couple for about half an hour. Yes, your opponents are some old dude and his wif…

This ♥♥♥♥ slapped my ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ nips off. Never before has elder abuse been such a palatable and invigorating experience. With every blow you truly feel like a completely deranged psychopath with nothing to lose and everything to gain! We need to see more from this dev, there are infinite possibilities with this format.

Impact to the Head is an independent first-person action game developed and published by W0nnaFight that combines brutal melee combat with a character-driven narrative. Instead of focusing on large-scale battles or endless weapon upgrades, the game tells the story of a former soldier whose reputation is destroyed after being branded a coward and discharged from military service. Cast aside by society and struggling to rebuild his life, he ultimately turns to contract killing as a means of survival. What begins as another dangerous assignment gradually evolves into a defining chapter of his life, creating a story built around guilt, violence, and the possibility of redemption. The game's premise immediately distinguishes itself by placing emotional conflict alongside physical confrontation, giving players a reason to care about the protagonist beyond simply completing missions. Combat is the centerpiece of the experience, with an emphasis on close-quarters encounters viewed entirely from the first-person perspective. Rather than encouraging reckless button mashing, the gameplay revolves around delivering heavy, deliberate strikes that make every confrontation feel personal and inte…

It is the same thing, over and over again. The "combat system" is pulled straight from games like mount and blade, there are only 2 things that happen that make the game sorta interesting, but overall, it was a bore to play through. There are demo's with more content, and actual fun gameplay. Do not touch.
