While the start is a bit rocky due to clunky UI/controls, and a poor explanation of mechanics, once you settle into the rhythm of the game it's fun. The core of the game is familiar managing and expanding your land to balance costs and profit. It has a few additional mechanics to manage (local party politics, stock market, possibly a productivity system?) that hold your attention, but never feel overwhelming. The main thing the game could use is more info available, sometimes I would be losing a lot of money or producing very little grain and I couldn't really figure out why. Being able to track what's causing you problems and what you could change to improve it would make the gameplay a lot smoother I think. Overall it's a fun little experience, progression is pretty quick and it's nice to look at, minus the weather effects (which can be turned off). Worth the price for at least a bit of fun!1 found this helpful
How did I not review this game? Basically... for me... its a low tech city builder. Well, city is the wrong word. You have limited space, limited income, so you better plan accordingly. While the game isn't severely complex it does take serious though into making the best decisions you can. The game is worth the price and is best enjoyed with the tv or youtube going on in the background. I chose seinfeld.1 found this helpful
Genuinely good idea terribly executed. Almost unplayable (so boring).
Barely recommended. I have played my share of retro games and this one captures the feel very well, for better or worse. It has a decent amount going on with the simulation side giving depth to managing your homestead. Sadly, the keyboard only controls, lack of in game help and bare bones UI will turn away most. Price is cheap and for those who enjoy challenging retro management games, it's worth a try.
It is a simple yet fun game when you whant to just turn your brain off but still have a little bit of a challange overall I whould recomend it to anyone who whants to relax also cant wait for future updates
Controls are a bit awkward and the text choices will overlap making them unreadable at times
