About Life is Vanilla

⚠️ MATURE CONTENT — 18+ ONLY ⚠️Let me tell you a story. Not the kind where the guy is mysteriously handsome, has superpowers, drives a Ferrari, and women just... happen to fall into his bed. No. This is the other kind. The real kind. This is the story of Trevor. Eighteen years old. Computer Science student. Never been with a girl, not for lack of attempts... But more because the right opportunity never appeared. And then one day, completely out of nowhere, life handed him a situation he was absolutely not prepared for, but made all the difference in his life.Life Is Vanilla is a romantic comedy visual novel told through the eyes of an older, wiser Trevor, narrating his own past with the particular mix of pride and embarrassment that only comes from hindsight. He'll give you tips along the way. From personal experience. Some of them are genuinely useful. Most of them are the kind of advice you only arrive at after making the mistake first. A few of them probably shouldn't be legal advice. What's the game actually about? It's about growing up. It's about the gap between who you are and who you want to be, and the surprisingly awkward journey between the two. It's about eight very different women and what could happen when someone like Trevor, not a seducer, not a player, just a guy, stumbles forward through life with more sincerity than skill. It's not a power fantasy. Nobody here is a secret billionaire or a supernatural being with inexplicable attraction to the protagonist. These are people. Messy, funny, complicated people. Having real conversations in normal places, making questionable decisions, occasionally regretting them, occasionally not.The humor is sharp. Sometimes uncomfortably so. The narrator has opinions and he is not shy about sharing them.If you've ever been young and confused and thought "how does anyone actually do this?" This game was made for you. Based on a true story... allegedly. Two ways to play. One story.
  • Linear Mode — Sit back and let the story unfold. Trevor's complete journey, every chapter, every relationship, every lesson learned the hard way. The full experience, no decisions required. Like life, but with a pause button.
  • Choice Mode — You decide who the one is. The relationships you pursue, the moments you push forward or let go,  and at the end, one woman stands beside Trevor while everyone else gets an epilogue they probably didn't plan for. Multiple endings. Choose wisely. Or don't. The narrator will judge you either way.
Eight women. One narrator who still can't quite believe any of this was real.Life Is Vanilla. Because the best stories aren't always the wildest ones. Sometimes they're just the ones that could happen to anyone. Even you.

Life is Vanilla was a very pleasant surprise. What impressed me the most is how honest the whole project feels. This is clearly a developer telling a personal story with sincerity, humor, and a lot of care. The writing feels human, not like AI slop. It has personality, rhythm, awkwardness, charm, and that makes a huge difference. The game is very well structured, especially for an indie visual novel. The stories are genuinely funny, the situations feel grounded, and the Love Interests are interesting not just visually, but in the way their dynamics with the protagonist develop. There is a wholesome quality to the game because, at its core, it is about the anxieties, embarrassment, curiosity, and emotional confusion of a young inexperienced guy discovering women and relationships. The renders also clearly improve from the beginning to the end, which makes the project even more enjoyable to follow. You can actually see the developer evolving while the game progresses, and that gives the whole experience a very personal feeling. It is funny, well written, charming, and much more sincere than most games in this genre. A very honest effort, a very enjoyable experience, and a project tha…

it's a breath of fresh air in the copy paste AVN genre I'll give it that. its got humor and written pretty well. The dev is honest about his abilities and isn't trying to follow the pack or cater to the peanut gallery of what he should make here. I respect his integrity of making a game that he wanted to make and tell a story he wanted to tell. Some of it resonated with me and was very relatable. it was pretty vanilla sex wise but you know what... it's a fun romp and i think its worth giving it shot if your open to a more relatable experience instead of a super Chad meets 10 barbies to harem up. The price is spot on for what you get.
