A fun little game. I'm not sure that I would consider it an idler. You can play the game as an idler but I think it would add weeks (if not months) to the play time. I spent 94.5 hours to 100% complete the game and 100% actively played the game. It is for sure a clicker. You click on the ship, as you travel between one of 11 destinations, to catch crabs. Crabs are sold for gold in your home port. Buy upgrades with the gold. You deploy traps to try and catch mythical crabs. There are also treasure chests you must figure out the combination to unlock. There are timers controlling (12 minutes was the longest that mattered) how often you can do certain things in game. No big thing just watch YouTube videos. I had a question that was answered the same day I posted it on game's Discord. I had one problem with achievements that was corrected within 12 hours via Discord post. It's worth the asking price imo.

"Little Crab Fisher" is a brainless clicker/incrementer... you know the type, click on stuff to make numbers go up so you can buy stuff to help you click on stuff to make numbers go up so you can buy stuff to... you get the idea. This is notable as a standout because, remarkably, the quality of this particular clicker is far, far below average, putting it on par with some of the worst games on Steam. What's the game about? Little Crab Fisher is a basic clicker adventure game set in a fantasy sea. The objective is to collect different types of crabs, some mythical, while exploring and possibly uncovering minor secrets. The player repeatedly clicks to fish, gathers crabs, moves around the sea, and upgrades a ship. In terms of visuals, this features really godawful MS-Paint tier "art" instead of real graphics. It's hard to say if this was because the developer didn't have the skill to do the job of creating 3D visuals, or couldn't afford to hire someone who does, but it also doesn't matter. What matters is that this looks much worse than most other games because of that decision, and that's a major deterrent to gamers. The deplorably bad visuals here come across as an insult…

I love this game. It took about 30 minutes for me to turn from liking it to loving it. It is a very nice change for the games out there now. It is the perfect time waster to just pick up and go.

Positive: Free to play and easy to jump into for casual clicker fun. Click‑style crab fishing combines simple action with progression and upgrades. Travel between islands, collect mythical crabs, and upgrade your ship for a sense of growth. Includes a variety of mechanics like crates, prestige, and cosmetic unlocks for extended engagement. Negative: Gameplay is repetitive over long sessions and leans heavily on clicking rather than deep mechanics. Presentation and polish are basic with minimal narrative depth or variety beyond fishing and upgrades. 🏆 Completionists & Achievement Hunters: There are 40 Steam achievements tied to various goals — catching different numbers of crabs, collecting crates, manual harvest milestones, prestige levels, and cosmetic/shop completions. Many achievements involve large numbers or repeated progression over time, so unlocking everything typically takes a longer dedicated effort rather than just a few minutes. Overall: Little Crab Fisher is a free clicker‑adventure that offers a laid‑back progression loop with lots of achievements to work toward. It’s best enjoyed in short bursts if you like incremental progression and collecting goals, although t…

Personally a no go. It requires an autoclicker to even progress on top of making you either chore to get coins to skip the wait, which feels like some scammy MTX for the mobile ver where you buy a ton of them to skip the time waster. It could also be there to push ads for the mobile ver. More time spent ingame means more adviews or view ads to get skip coins. Honestly to me, that's what that mysterious person seems to be for.
