Lootfest

Lootfest is an unusual indie sandbox project developed and published by Fabian Jakobsson through his small studio vikingfabian.com. Released on Steam as a free-to-play Early Access experiment, the game attempts to merge two distinct concepts: a voxel-based construction sandbox and a cooperative adventure game. On paper, the idea is ambitious, combining creative world-building tools with combat and exploration mechanics. This isn't a game, it's just a software application. "Lootfest" lacks the basic mechanics that make something a game. Lacking that, this is just an application that, much like RPG Maker and other crapware, is intended to allow people who aren't qualified to make games to make simple Minecraft ripoffs with hideous graphics and worse gameplay. Worse, the developer abandoned this software over 10 years ago, deliberately seeking to abuse Steam Early Access, he left it on Steam and moved on to other projects, deliberately breaking his commitment to deliver a full product to paying customers. This should be illegal, it's definitely a deliberate attempt to scam and defraud gamers when this happens. To make it clear what a game is and why this isn't one, it boils down to whether the software has any "game loops", which is the interaction between the player and the game itself. Игра Lootfest — это настоящая находка для любителей бесконечного гринда и случайных находок. С первых минут погружаешься в атмосферу азарта, где каждый сундук может таить как разочарование, так и несметные богатства. Управление интуитивно понятно, а графика, хоть и не претендует на революционность, вполне приятна для глаз. Главная фишка игры – это, конечно же, лут. Его здесь огромное количество, и каждый предмет имеет свою уникальную историю или статистику. Процесс сбора становится самоцелью, и ты ловишь себя на мысли, что уже не можешь остановиться, пока не соберешь всю коллекцию. Система прокачки хорошо сбалансирована, позволяя адаптировать персонажа под свой стиль игры. Сложность растет постепенно, не давая заскучать. Конечно, иногда подводит рандом, и за десятками обычных предметов попадается что-то действительно стоящее. Но именно эта непредсказуемость и держит в напряжении. Lootfest – это отличный способ расслабиться и забыть о реальности, погрузившись в мир охоты за сокровищами.
