Lost Chapter
[b]
Game Introduction
The story is very simple: a girl wakes up in complete darkness and, having nothing, continues to move forward by relying on the faint light.
Gameplay
Gameplay: This is a black-and-white art style eroge (adult game) that combines tower climbing and card battle gameplay. Players advance by clicking the left mouse button. Each game has only one path, and players cannot view or choose the next event. Events include: battles, merchants, random rewards, health deduction, and obtaining special story items. Each floor has twenty smaller events, and after twenty actions, a boss battle will occur. There are five bosses to challenge randomly, and each boss can only be challenged once per game. The game's combat system is divided into two parts: regular battles and regular battles. At the start of each game, players have two AP (Action Points) to play cards. Different card types consume different amounts of AP to activate. Each turn, the remaining AP from the previous turn is carried over and two points are added, but cards are not retained in hand unless special effect cards are used; otherwise, only two cards can be d…

Weirdly really good deck builder roguelite so much so that I don't even hate the SA content that would usually turn me off from playing a game like this. Also fun to experiment with different builds although just maxing out lust is extremly overpowered when put with succubus attributes. Art isn't bad and definitely grows on you, world is interesting but you always feel a bit disconnected from it like the protagnist who has her mysteries but it never really feels like anything more than set dressing. Would recommend from a gameplay persepctive if you like these types of games although it can be very heavy on RNG just re-roll your traits at the start until you get a good set and if you just want to go around ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ or being ♥♥♥♥♥♥ by enemies, also one achievement is locked behind the patch for age regression if you're going for 100% so heads up.

Enjoyable Roguelite, really really love it, great artwork, world building, and story telling. But damn content is very limited, something you'd play the whole day, finish it, and left wanting more. Loved every second nonetheless, the only downsides being, not much content thus making it quite repetitive and buggy achievements. Bought the dlc, will gladly buy another one, if there will be.

The lore and setting are low-key phenomenal. I'd recommend buying and sticking with it for that alone... However, as a deck builder it feels like it's lacking balance and/or polish. Doing a run that avoids lewd encounters is extremely rough, and takes forever to reroll stats for to make it viable in the first place. Lewd builds are just extremely OP and kind of trivialize the game mechanics for the most part. It doesn't even feel particularly worth doing hybrid unless you set personal limits on what lewd skills you choose to use. The events are probably too random, and again skew heavily into benefitting lewd builds while they end up being wasted event rolls for non-lewd builds. You will probably end up giving up and just being a semen demon to see as much of the lore as possible, which is still a wonderful experience, but it could have been more engaging on the gameplay end if not for the balance issues.

Lost Chapter is a snazzy little rougelike tower climber whatever kind of game. The patch grants you all the zesty content you could want while the gameplay itself is solid and grants you a good number of ways to survive and make it to the top. The game is decently difficult with normal combat runs but if you wanted to win an easier way the game has you covered with lewd runs where you can effectively one shot everything fairly early. Good game and I definitely would recommend it.
