Master Pyrox Wizard Smackdown is a fast-paced arcade-style multiplayer game. It's very easy to learn, but difficult to master. Avoid the fireballs that manifest in the center of the screen, knock your opponents down, collect power-ups and cast spells. Up to 8 players can fight against each other in a tournament or cooperate against one of Pyrox's creatures in a boss fight. Various gameplay options allow you to customize the game, and you can even design your own maps.

Master Pyrox Wizard Smackdown is a 3D rendered 2D top down arena brawler with a wizard theme and various game modes including a boss fight. It's slapped together badly with the lacklustre Godot engine/construction tools. Gameplay consists of multiplayer brawling around small arenas. There's also a custom level builder. From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. The game features lazy low-polygon "retro" assets, making this look like a barely functional 3D game from the 1990s. It's unclear why the developers weren't able to arrange high quality, high polygon count contemporary assets for the game, and also irrelevant... what matters is that this looks bad as a result of their decisions, a compromise PC gamers shouldn't have to put up with. There's no options to change the resolution for the game or customise the graphics settings. There's no way for gamers to ensure this is running at the native resolution of their displays... there's no guarantee this game will look right on any PC as a result of this hamfisted design decision. Сразу скажу, визуальный стиль мне безумно понравился – яркий, мультяшный и немного абсурдный, идеально подходит к духу игры. Геймплей простой в освоении, но потенциально глубокий, с множеством заклинаний и комбинаций, которые можно выучить. Побеждать, просто нажимая кнопки, не получится, нужно стратегически мыслить и вовремя использовать уклонения и контратаки. Что особенно порадовало – это режим для нескольких игроков. Играть с друзьями на одном экране – это сплошное удовольствие. Хохот и крики гарантированы! Есть, конечно, и одиночный режим, но он больше подходит для тренировки и освоения механик. Единственное, что немного разочаровало – это небольшое количество персонажей. Хотелось бы больше волшебников с уникальными способностями. Но, учитывая, что это инди-проект, придираться особо не хочется. В целом, 'Master Pyrox Wizard Smackdown' – отличная игра для вечеринки или просто для того, чтобы весело провести время.
