About Mazes and Labyrinths
Welcome to Mazes and Labyrinths, a deceptively difficult single screen puzzle game set in the fantasy world of Antinomia. Play as Will and Ari as you battle the prophet Sybilla and the invading Omniety, an alien being reshaping the planet to its whims. Use your wits, powers, and even the enemies themselves to find an exit to every maze and save Antinomia and its people from certain destruction.
Created by OnlineVideoSurfer, Mazes and Labyrinths features over 70 puzzles in the main campaign plus a robust level editor to make and play your own levels. For more dedicated players, most levels also feature a bonus medal to truly test your ability to break the game. The goal is an almost arcade-puzzle experience, with short, bite-sized levels and simple graphics that nevertheless disguise deeply complex, rule-based design. Learning the intricacies of the powerups, the enemies, and the full implications of your abilities is essential to both mastering the campaign and making your own mazes for others.
There are no pay to win mechanics, no in-game currencies, nor any other monetization features to diminish the game. This is a free game made by one person for anyone that wants challenging yet thoughtful puzzles or desires to make their own levels.
Persevere and overcome the challenges and you will hopefully find a rewarding puzzle game that, by the endgame, will push your reasoning to its limits. For everyone that tries, I wish you luck.

"Mazes and Labyrinths" is more than just mazes (but not much more). Rather than strictly mazes, this is a selection of various 2D top down retro pixel puzzle games, some just straight pathing, others with enemies to avoid, others using the old "move two characters at the same time across different areas" puzzle gimmick. Fine I guess, I'd even go so far as to say this is one of the better examples of the breed... but there's no prizes for being pretty tall for a midget. The whole thing could have been done in Flash or as a HTML5 browser game... and I'm pretty sure Steam isn't here to compete with Chrome and Firefox. This features really godawful pixelcrap "art" instead of real graphics. It's hard to say if this was because the developer didn't have the skill to do the job of creating 3D visuals, or couldn't afford to hire someone who does, but it also doesn't matter. What matters is that this looks much worse than most other games because of that decision, and that's a major deterrent to gamers. Games like Terraria and Stardew Valley succeeded [i]despite[/i] the bad graphics, not because of them. It's free... now, but it wasn't before. The developer was charging $4 USD for …
