Metal Voyager

Cool soundtrack and interesting gameplay, but with major balancing flaws and cheap shots that come from low price. An elderly bearded rockstar with wings and a missing arm glides through space. But as he touches the guitar, his arms and power return, and he embarks on a tour of the galaxy. There’s no story; you simply go from planet to planet and destroy everything in front of you. The majority of the excitement comes from music and shooting. Metal music plays in the background, and you shred your guitar to match it by holding down the fire button. You can only shoot left or right, and if you hold it too long, your shot will lose range and power. The secret is to tap it while taking extremely short breaks. You should also keep an eye out for the pulse, which delivers additional damage and knocks foes back. This is visible in the line below. Additional mechanic are orbs that show up when you destroy enemies. When you collect them, they will begin to circle around you. This allows you to activate a shield that will also hurt everyone nearby. The number of orbs determines the shield's duration. Then you get a couple power-ups. This is a fantastic side-scrolling shooter with all the vibes of Trapper Keeper/side of a custom van styled art. You play as an old winged metalhead who shreds a wide variety of alien baddies with the power of his rock. If you like shooters, or if you like metal, or if you like video games in general, this game is an absolute steal and highly recommended.
