I am so sad as I was loving this game but I ran into a game breaking bug at the festival where I just could not continue the game no matter how many times I have restarted, Waited over a year and the devs seem to no longer be updating the game which is a huge shame.

Mexico, 1921: A Deep Slumber is a historical narrative adventure that explores a turbulent and formative period in Mexican history through the perspective of an investigative photojournalist. Developed and published by Mácula Interactive, the game takes place in Mexico City after the Mexican Revolution, when the country is struggling to rebuild its institutions, redefine its identity, and determine who will control the stories told about its future. Instead of treating history as distant background material, the game places political tension, cultural transformation, and conflicting versions of the truth at the center of the experience. The protagonist, Juan Aguirre, is a young journalist attempting to establish himself in a society filled with uncertainty. His work gradually draws him into an investigation involving political interests, public figures, and events connected to the assassination of former president Álvaro Obregón. Juan is not presented as a powerful hero who can solve problems through combat. His most important tools are observation, conversation, photography, and his ability to recognize inconsistencies in what people tell him. This creates a grounded perspective …

Totally recommend this game. Has and excellent audio design and I loved so much the camera mechanic. it looks pretty good. Spanish dub is amazing as well.

*English review below. Este juego me impresionó y me dejó con una nueva perspectiva. Aunque tiene unos cuantos bugs, no arruina el juego. El diseño artístico es hermoso, muy representante del arte mexicana. La actuación es genial, casi me hacen chillar. Y más que nada, la historia te atrapa. Realmente vas encontrando huellas y destapando el misterio. Me encantó tomarle fotos a todo. Tengo que volver a jugarlo. This game impressed me and left with a new perspective. While there are a few bugs, none of them are game breaking. The art design is beautiful, very representative of Mexican art. Excellent voice acting, they almost made me cry. Above all, the story is engaging. You're really finding clues and uncovering the mystery. I loved taking pictures of everything. I have to replay it.
