A neat core concept with a pleasant aesthetic! I recommend this game (especially given the price) if you're a big puzzle enjoyer, but there are some things you should know before playing: First and foremost, this game is brutally difficult and a bit exhausting, with a steep learning curve. It's a classic sokoban, but the twist is that you have to execute all the solutions in reverse - this effectively means that you have to solve the entire puzzle in your head first and then memorize the solution backwards, before even making the first input. On top of this, I see 3 fairly significant issues: 1. Movement feels kinda "floaty", and there is no one-move-undo button. This means that it's not intuitive when you should release a directional input if you're e.g. trying to move through multiple spaces in the same direction and stop on a specific square, and if you overshoot you often have to just reset the whole level. 2. The grid and obstacles are not clearly defined. A couple times I've had to do an initial non-run to "scope out the terrain", to see e.g. whether an area is 1 tile wide or 2 tiles wide, and once or twice I've tried a solution involving walking over a tiny object like a t…4 found this helpful
Just played a little and am really loving this so far. Love this reverse-style Sokoban game. Pros: - Midnight is too cute - Relaxing soundtrack and visuals that belie the challenging difficulty - Smooth level transitions - it feels like you're on one big journey with Midnight Cons: - No cloud saves1 found this helpful
Interesting puzzles, definetivelly worth it! The difficult progression is good and it makes every next step challenging.1 found this helpful
No Bugs , Good game and hard but I really wish the main character was something very better than this . Also control settings are terrible . 7/101 found this helpful
This game is buggy as hell.
Stuck at the beginning of the first level because the basic mechanics are unexplained and completely obscure.
