THE CREW

They say there’s no honor among thieves, but they’ve never met your crew! Team up with up to three other players in local or online multiplayer and plan your heist. Assemble your team from a selection of eight playable characters, each with their own unique abilities and playstyles. Need to adapt? Switch your character mid-run to overcome whatever obstacles stand between you and untold riches!

Confusing game. Have been told it is a shadow of the first. This game does not inspire me to play the first at all.

5/10: Monaco 2 mixes stealth mechanics and heisting in 16 levels of colorful, cartoony action. Yet the changes to the style and how levels are balanced leave it feeling like it is missing something compared to the first Monaco. Monaco 2 is about a team of thieves stealing all the wealth they can find in the titular town of Monaco and escaping with the goods. Over the course of 16 levels, you and up to 3 friends can each choose one of 8 color-coded characters, each with their own special abilities, and see just how quickly and thoroughly you can rob each level. There's Sake the speedster in purple, Cosmo & Gimlet the pink socialite with her distracting puppy, Pockets the green medic, Gibson the blue engineer with his drones, Una the orange brute knocking folks out, Jobbie the blue teleporting robot, Cicero the stealth-killing surgeon wearing yellow, and King Dreg in red handing out bribes. Although there are 8 different characters, each level has a specific set of 4 you can choose from, which can feel limiting if the set doesn't have one of the characters you have focused your upgrades on. Finishing the level for the first time or with exceptionally quickly or by stealing every…

this is a horrific sequel for an incredible game, and it's depressing that someone who, like me, loved the original to death, would have waited so long for something so disfunctional. not to mention the incompetence from the developers to randomly generate the maps for the main missions and then force those randomly thrown together rooms to be a, half-assed, standard that everyone is forced to play through, that, unlike the first game, wasn't actually hand made. the characters and their abilities are a bit too niche, in my opinion, meaning that if one specific character wasn't used a level might be almost impossible. their ability upgrades (which in many cases are more like downgrades) reduce their maximum HP for bonuses and really don't help enough to warent such a highcost, and in other cases they give a very strong boost to the character's ability but then don't even take much HP away meaning some upgrades barely have a downside. and finally, 'cause I don't want to have to think about this trash heap any more than I have to, the story, I won't go into actual detail on the story beats but, the dialogue sounds like it was written by a child and the characters are dumber than a …
