About MotorSport Revolution
The Game
Motorsport Revolution is a single-player, physics-based racing game inspired by classic console racing games, as well as the popular Le Mans Series, which is considered the most challenging sport racing class in the world. With these influences in mind, we’re creating an epic immersive VR motorsport racing experience where players race the world’s top production-class race cars in the ultimate test on the world’s most difficult tracks.

Motorsport Revolution provides an immersive cinematic automotive journey featuring the world’s greatest cars and tracks. Available with standard screen view, but built from the ground up to take advantage of Oculus Rift DK2 VR headset and the unmatched processing power of the PC, our goal is to deliver a unique one of a kind VR, action-packed racing experience. This title has full native support for the Oculus DK2.

Core Game Features
• A VR menu display for all cars and race information is designed uniquely with the VR experience in mind (standard display version also supported).
• Over 20 different cars to choose from with unique performance styles, go from drifting to Le Mans Style Endurance Production Cars.
• Challenging adaptive AI that predicts driver weakness and overtakes in key track positions.
• Fastest racing line to help drivers learn the fastest racing line (optional).
• Realtime car damage modeling from race collisions resulting in massive automotive mayhem.
• Racing control via keyboard , Microsoft 360 Wireless Dual Stick Controller or Logitech brand force feedback racing wheels like the G25 and G27
• Robust physics-based gameplay. Every meter of track is recreated, allowing deep development and performance challenges to the player. Learn the tracks, improve your line, and avoid race-ending collisions that damage your car and put you in the pits.
• Optimized graphics delivers amazing physically based material stereo rendering that re-creates the real-life characteristics of thousands of unique materials. Surfaces such as metal, glass, leather, rubber and concrete look real enough to touch.
• Race through 5 progressive performance classes to race from economy sport class to the ultimate formula class performance.
• 10 Different Racing locations from around the world.

What Steam players say

If it were $1 I'd say buy it. The physics are just good enough you could do some time attack and have a little bit of fun. Slightly better than the physics from some of the not so good PS1 era games. Also it's funny to go to the California track and watch the AI cars flipping around and crashing. I was laughing my @ss off and for $1 it'd be worth it.7 found this helpful
In my top 5 "worst racing games ever" Got it for free Graphically is very bad for 2015, but i can accept it bacuse indie game (if i'm not wrong it supports VR). Sound is awful. Gameplay is inspired by Big Rigs: AI can start the race but all cars will crash in 2 or 3 turns, handling is poor (tried the "Tokyo Drift" car... F1 cars have less grip than this) Don't buy it VOTE 3/10 P.S. never seen any update from devs2 found this helpful
Tags: Driving & Racing Additional Tags: Delete Local Content & Remove from Library Spams Steam VR constantly. Windows cursor does not disappear and has to be swept to corners. Audience are static cutouts of people. No music. Just engine sounds. Even microtapping the control stick creates rather aggresive steering wheel shifts. AI lackluster. Driving unsatisfying. View from within driving seat feels restricted. Game does not set you back on track or fail you if you tumble way off track forcing you to manually reset race. The visuals did not impress me. Removed for declutter.2 found this helpful
Can't go pass the menus. Sloppy. Unless you get this in a bundle, don't bother. Actually, don't bother.1 found this helpful
CONS: - Sloppy menus - VERY sloppy models and model placement (Z-fighting, hands through steering wheel, etc.) - Kevin MacLeod music (it may be royalty-free, but it's still sloppy as ♥♥♥♥ and I can never take seriously any commercially released game that uses it.) - cartoonish engine sounds - pushover AI - I don't have VR for this bland-fest but i'm willing to bet the only "improvement" VR gives it is to make it literally vomit-inducing. As opposed to just vomit-inducing on principle. EHH: = deeply questionable physics (can't fault it too much here as, at the very least, it's still better than Big Rigs, which is just about the upper limit of the level of praise I'd be willing to give any aspect of this game. It actually has a collision engine and different driving surfaces unlike Big Rigs, although their implementation is still pretty sloppy.) PROS: + Still a better racing game than Big Rigs. 0.5/10 only bother getting this if it's part of a bundle, and even then only as a gag to show your friends so that you can all point and laugh and cringe at it together. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VRaoHi_xcWk1 found this helpful
this game is absolute ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ do not let the gameplay fool you it is one of the worst looking worst handling racing games ive ever had the displeasure of playing for being released in 2015 you would think the game would look so much better then what it does considering games before and in the same year look so much better the game cant even get basic info to you if you are in first person and are driving a car with the steering wheel on the right side of the car your lap and pos will be blocked completely by the edge of the windshield one would think that you would notice while testing the game but i highly doubt any testing was done considering the game controls like a 1:00 pm dunk sit on the toilet after eating to much taco bell how the controls are so bad truly baffles me it is in fact so bad the ai oppnent's cant figure it out either you will 9 times out of 10 try and turn and your car will just refuse to do so this game is not disappointing it is truly one of the worst games ever it is littarely impossible to play without a controller so sorry mouse and key you are SOL dont buy this ♥♥♥♥ trust me
