About Nom Nom Apocalypse
Mutant Food Monsters Attack!!! A city is in peril…
The end of days draws near as greasy, ravenous food creatures infest the city bringing total chaos and destruction. Our last hope lies with a band of skillful trigger-happy cooks determined not to end up as the main course.
Shoot! dodge OUTLAST the plague of greasy beasts and candy creatures that lurk around every unknown corner.
Use powers, equip perks and unleash your guns to turn the tide and save humanity.
The city is in ruins and the path to salvation is unclear. Battle through five different levels of handmade environments spliced with a dash of procedural generation. Each level has its different quirks, obstacles and traps, along with an assortment of greasy, sticky and ferocious monsters waiting to devour anything in sight.
Encounter a diverse platter of food monstrosities from sharp-toothed burgers that spit cheese to rampant cupcakes with claws, they will challenge your appetite.
Choose from a band of misfit food fighters daring to reclaim their home. Each food fighter has their own special power to unleash. So shoot, dodge-roll, avoid traps, use powers and set off explosives to combat the mutant food invasion.
The world keeps changing and so can you. Unlock a range of advantages and perks to give yourself the edge. Move faster, resist traps, deflect melee attacks … cater it towards your style. Start each level by equipping three of your favorite perks or mix and match and find the best combinations.

Discover and unleash an arsenal of crazy culinary themed guns. From a mustard shotgun to a fork crossbow and even a microwave laser beam. Lock n’ load for the main course.

Send it Back, It's Not Done I have less than an hour in this game because I beat it in 55 minutes and have no desire to go through again. Pros: - It's a twin stick shooter - It cost 3 Dollars on sale Cons: - It's a bad twin stick shooter - Cannot change the button layout. I like to keep my thumbs on the sticks, the layout makes it so I have to take my thumb off the sticks to roll, activate a special, etc. - Bugs: 1)Reloading while transitioning areas will keep the reload icon up until you reload again. 2)If you hold a direction while transitioning you will move during a blank screen and potentially run into traps. 3)On the main menu, if you exit out of controls and immediately re-enter controls, the credits play. 4)Killing the boss in the arcade room during one of his attacks will make the sound continuously play until the next stage. That includes the power up screen. 5)Not really a bug but the image on the extended part of my monitor stays up while the rest fades out. I've seen it in other games but those were way better and didn't make me regret playing them. -the weapons suck. The basic weapo…11 found this helpful
Nom Nom Apocalypse is currently under-cooked and doesn't have enough spice. This needs a lot of work: The lag spikes that cause you to get hit or die which happen about every 5 minutes There is no story whatsoever, you just exist and food is evil. If your mouse pointer goes to far away from your character the aim stalls Turning while shooting is either slow or impossible Each section load launches the character like 30 foot ahead with speed ups and slow downs Sometimes those bullets might register as a hit While the artwork is nice it looks rough and very few models are used instead you see the same car times 100 or the same pile of food and rocks everywhere. I hope this is still in development cause it could get a lot better but at its current state its a hard pass, it feels like an alpha bare bones release. To clarify; I absolutely loved Gungeon and Undermine and play rogues as quickly as they come out, not new to the genre. This isn't me criticizing the rogue genre, this game needs lots of work.6 found this helpful
"You know those nights as a child when you have had too much fast food and candy due to one celebration or another and you had a food-related nightmare? Well, Nom Nom Apocalypse took that idea and turned it into a pretty decent roguelite!" Nom Nom Apocalpse is, in short, a food/nightmare-themed roguelite where you'll need to clear rooms after rooms of spawned enemies before testing your mettle against a boss at the end of the dungeon. Each run (for each location) is fairly short, taking up around 10 mins or so with little downtime in between "rooms". A single playthrough, provided that you don't die in between, consists of 5 locations, including a final boss fight that I haven't had the pleasure of checking out yet. The level design here is also fairly "standard" and perhaps same-y after multiple runs feel despite being procedurally-generated, a issue that's prevalent in Don't Die, Minerva!, another similar roguelite, as well. However, I won't say that it's a "con" for the game since the intense gameplay does keep things hectic enough for you to focus more on the enemies and other survival/combat-related items as opposed to anything else. ------------------
Wat…5 found this helpful
Everything worked fine until first boss. Simply wouldn't let me do anything but walk until after I let it hit me(for half my health). I couldn't SHOOT, throw knife, dodgeroll, or even switch weapons.2 found this helpful
https://youtu.be/zEPYU7JNMcE Food themed twin stick shooter has a small scale enemy and weapon pool leveling little space for the player to explore.
just cook your own food at home
