OUBEY VR – Reise der Monaden is a free art experience. It worked on my HTC Vive and Index and Meta Quest 3 via Steam Link system, looked ok, played ok, sounded ok. You can move the splats of paint with your hands. Splats of paint can bump and move other splats of paint. The music was ok. You are at the center of the art. Try it, if you like Art.

"OUBEY VR – Reise der Monaden" is not a game. Games contain meaningful gamelike interaction and game loops, which are absent in this "art experience". Instead of being a game, "OUBEY VR – Reise der Monaden" is a software application that presents a poorly made art exhibition. This art exhibition (not game) is complete garbage about a bunch of horse hockey, a quasi-religious cult brainfart about LeibnizÆs Monadology and the universe consisting of inseparable immortal substances, which is all basically delusional BS. Now on Steam, in the form of a crap non-game art "experience". We get this non-game shovelware on Steam whenever your usual Starbucks barista/McDonalds frycook art school dropout finally gets a restraining order from the local art galleries so turns to Steam Direct to try get their art published somewhere so they can finally dream of moving out of their parents basement. It's true that games can be art... art is where the pinnacles of craftsmanship and quality meet vision and narrative to create an experience far greater than the sum of the parts. Игра 'OUBEY VR – Reise der Monaden' очаровала меня своим минималистичным, но глубоким визуальным стилем. Погружение в эти сюрреалистические миры с помощью VR – это нечто особенное. Простота геймплея, основанная на исследовании и решении головоломок, придает игре медитативный характер. Изначально я переживал, что отсутствие четкого сюжета сделает опыт отталкивающим, но наоборот, это позволило мне прочувствовать атмосферу и визуальные образы. Взаимодействие с окружением интуитивно понятно, но требует внимательности к деталям. Мне особенно понравилась музыка, которая идеально дополняет визуальную составляющую, создавая успокаивающий и в то же время таинственный опыт. Тем не менее, игра довольно короткая и не предлагает большого количества переигровок, но это компенсируется уникальным и запоминающимся впечатлением. Рекомендую всем, кто ищет что-то новое в VR, отличное от экшена и шутеров.
