Just a wonderfully lovingly crafted VN full of heart. Carrot is an incredibly talented artist with such a unique, expressive style, and it's endlessly impressive the sheer amount of art they drew for this, as well as their talent for varied camera angles and poses--it's really almost more like an animated comic book than a VN. The characters are well-drawn, multilayered, and complex, and I really enjoyed gradually getting to know them (plus, much-needed respectful ace representation). You can tell that Carrot really, really loves this cast and cares so much about this journey that they're on. There's a lot of gore, so that's something to be aware of if that bothers you. And the photo backgrounds didn't really work for me personally--but given the enormous amount of art there is already and the large number of settings, it's a super valid choice. Overall, lovely work and well worth checking out!

Love the game, love the characters (especially Genzou), and love the story!

I’ve been sitting on this review for a couple of days, but I still can’t properly put into words how much I loved this game. I was immediately interested when I saw time loop and horror, and the game didn’t disappoint there, but what shines through the most is the characters. They’re all well written. They all have their own issues they’re struggling with after keeping them bottled up so long inside. All the different dynamics, the fracturing friend group, learning more about everyone’s past, it was all so well done. My opinions on all of them were ever changing, a true emotional rollercoaster, but I came out with a better understanding of them. I also can’t go without mentioning the art! It’s a fun art style, and there are so many CGs and variations with the sprite expressions. Incredible job well done to Carrot since this, on top of the writing, was all done by one person. I enjoyed each epilogue and after story, but I think I may like the neutral ending the best, just because Iggy is finding out what happiness is for him after struggling to find a sense of self after trying to make everyone happy for so long. I've already played this game back then when it only was on itch.io, and it really stuck with me. When I heard it was getting released on Steam, I was so happy to have an excuse to play it again... And I'm so glad I did, because I could experience the group's whole adventure again, hitting me with nostalgia every time I picked up my laptop. What I love most about this VN are the fully fleshed-out characters. That's the one thing I've loved about this game all this years. The more you play, the more you want to know them... They're all so complex, but the one that stood out the most to me in my first playthrough was Orlam, with all those "hidden" feelings and secrets. It felt so realistic. You can clearly see that everyone is writen with the utmost care and love. Although it's really hard for me to stray from Gen's route, I just feel like he's the right one... I'm just so happy a game like this could be made. It really is inspiring, seeing what Carrot has been able to achieve, being an independent artist on top of that. This really is one of if not my favourite game ever.

I started playing the game because of Genzou, since I love plus-sized characters, and honestly, the game surprised me a lot. I never expected the story or the relationships to have this much depth and complexity. The choice of music was also absolutely wonderful. I was hoping for a bit more 18+ content, but I understand and respect the artistic direction you chose. Thank you so much. <3
