If you like Yume Nikki or exploring as well as mysterious and cryptic stuff, you might like this The complaints I have about it are that if you get stuck on any part, there isn't much info online that could help you. Yes there are fan made maps as well as a guide in English (https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2779552590) that might help a little, but the Japanese guide is way more detailed (https://w.atwiki.jp/purgobox/). Also, it can be confusing and irritating sometimes when you get stuck on certain things Despite the flaws, it's a very interesting game, it is very dear to me, and I for one like it a lot especially the exploring aspect and the side stories STUFF I WISH I KNEW BEFORE I STARTED PLAYING: Once you start, you cant access the main menu anymore, unless you reach an ending (it will then prompt you with "new game" or "continue") or if you delete all of the files and redownload the game, so unless you do that, you cant restart (slight spoilers ahead, but VERY USEFULL) Also when you reach an ending by getting 200 favourability with any of the main characters, if you press continue after the "cutscenes", if you can call them that, unless y…

Yume Nikki for Zoomers and I mean this in the most respectful way possible

One of the best games I’ve played in recent years — a true masterpiece that I think about constantly. I appreciate the real meaning and story behind the “abstract” and “nonsensical” front. The characters feel alive, each with their own personality, likes, and dislikes. Even the more “monster-like” creatures show humanity. In this world, everyone knows their place and understands how things really are. I’m not even a quarter of the way through the game, and it’s very clear how vast it is. There’s so much to do. I like that you can sometimes get lost, unsure of what to do next — it gives a real sense of “I know this isn’t all I can do; I just need to find the right person or be in the right place at the right time.” The visuals are incredible. The blend of sketch-style art with high-resolution images is bold and striking — it gives the whole game a unique identity. Purgo Box — 10/10.
