Robo Boop

"Robo Boop" is another pointless VR tech demo on Steam... not really a game, all you do is wave your arms around in VR to tap on ugly looking floating boxes. I don't understand why people look at something this shallow and decide it's good enough to publish on Steam Direct where people might see it and laugh at it. This comes across as something unambitious and "simple" in terms of implementation and technical quality and depth, more like a game dev tutorial or an experiment. It's a classic case of a developer prioritizing the low effort needed to get a game listed on Steam over the actual delivery of a technically sound or compelling product. Whatever is needed to hammer out something "good" enough for Steam Direct self-publishing. Visually, the game looks pretty bad (and decent visuals are a must, gaming is a visual medium), we can be sure this is not an asset flip. This is because the game assets look so bad, no self respecting asset creator would publish them. That's a fail. Игра "Robo Boop" — это веселый, но короткий платформер с элементами юмора и киберпанка. Графика яркая, а анимация роботов с "boop"-эффектом (как в мемах) вызывает улыбку. The game has a really nice world, with decent music and relaxing game play But the developer has tried to make the music sound like it is coming from a certain direction and the effect is so extreme that the headphone facing away from this direction is completely off, no music at all This effect is horrible, the otherwise great game has been deleted
