It's a time consuming game + P2W and P2F mechanics. Even if you pay you can still not win. This game is so cool, but the PW2 and time destroys it.

Raiding other castles while designing your own defenses creates a fun back-and-forth between attacking and planning. Upgrading troops, towers, and equipment gives you plenty to work toward, especially once alliance battles enter the picture.
