Fun little bullet time shooter about a French man who was framed on false charges. Combat is very fun and as the game advertises seems to be a good game for speedrunners I am not one of those people lol, but I enjoy it regardless.
First thing that comes to mind: the gameplay is rich. You can * deflect attacks like Ori’s Bash, * throw enemies (very satisfying when it creates "bowling ball" effect) * shoot with bullet‑time precision, * toss grenades, and more. To encourage you to use all of these mechanics, there’s a scoring system. The game is far more ambitious and deeper than it first appears. The backgrounds are gorgeous, and I really appreciate the Rayman‑esque, cartoony character designs. Exactly like the latest Shinobi, I would have cut some of the platforming in favor of more combat. It can drag a bit at times, and a few difficulty spikes might catch you off guard. Ledge‑climbing doesn’t always behave the way you want, which can be frustrating. Other than that, it’s clearly a labor of love!
Boring gameplay and clunky controls
Really bad game design here. Even the basic attack grinds time to a halt to use it. If the game was designed around quick movement, it would have been much better. Difficulty spikes are everywhere, checkpoints can be pretty sparse at times. The game will offer no challenge 80% of the time. A ton of obstacles can be easily cheesed. It's the kind of game where the camera will zoom in and kill the player, but then the level easy beaten the next try. Really think it would have been Better if the levels were a bunch of short challenges. As is, it's a really dull and annoying platformer.
Sacre Bleu is a fast-paced action platformer developed by Hildring Studio Inc and published by Noodlecake that combines stylish combat, precision movement, and speed-focused gameplay into a chaotic adventure set against an alternate version of revolutionary France. Built around fluid mobility and skill-based progression, the game focuses heavily on player execution rather than slow progression systems or lengthy storytelling. It delivers an energetic experience where every jump, attack, and movement decision contributes toward maintaining momentum and mastering increasingly demanding challenges. The premise places players in the role of a captain of the Musketeers who finds themselves imprisoned under suspicious circumstances. Forced into a dangerous escape while uncovering a larger conspiracy threatening France itself, the protagonist must battle through dangerous environments filled with enemies, traps, and escalating obstacles. The story embraces humor and exaggerated historical inspiration rather than strict realism, creating a setting that feels playful without losing its sense of urgency. One of the strongest elements of Sacre Bleu comes from its movement systems. Platformi…
I Like the vibe of this game, fun and fast paced, easy to pick on and play. It's on the shorter side but it's worth it.
