Alright. [i]Scarytales: All Hail King Mongo[/i] is done and dusted. in the genre of Hidden Object Games, I think this one is mediocre. It's not bad, but it's also not really good. They were just kind of tossed in to fill out the item quota. Additionally, there were instances where the item wouldn't necessarily trigger when clicked, instances where it was placed in front of something nearly identical to it, and instances where the item could barely be seen at all due to its complete lack of color and detail. The graphics were decent. Pretty classic HoG stuff. The story itself was cookie cutter. Evil dude casts spell on prince and tries to seize control of the kingdom. Scarytales: All Hail King Mongo is a mobile app-like hidden object/puzzle/adventure game where you tap on your iPhone screen to locate various hidden objects in various piles of junk. There's a typical fantasy/medieval/haunted spooky castle theme, but the most frightening thing about this game is that the developer genuinely thought it would be okay to put this on Steam. This is just more mobile shovelware being dumped on Steam to pollute the place while they make another cash grab for trash. From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. There's no options to change the resolution for the game or customise the graphics settings. There's no way for gamers to ensure this is running at the native resolution of their displays... there's no guarantee this game will look right on any PC as a result of this hamfisted design decision. There's no way for gamers to try improve the low quality graphics. The controls can't be customised because the game has such a dumbed down, simplified interface that it's just iPhone screen tapping stuff. Ahahahahahahah! The bad guy forgot there is "an item" that can negate his powers and was overly shocked in the end by it!! All the while [b]he[/b] was the one who put a magic shield around said "item"!!! XD Otherwise the game is.............. Short and okay. It's nothing fancy. It didn't glitch and well... That's pretty much it.

This was silly, but don't pay money for it. That's about it.

Had this game on a collection disc a while back. After losing said disc, I found it on Steam a few years later. It's not an great game (the puzzles and voice acting leave a lot to be desired) but it was interesting to revisit.
