We designed this game as a free prequel to our full-fledged adventure Shining Orb, to showcase the exciting universe and gameplay experience we are working on, and build a community of passionate gamers. Shining Orb will be released in the future, with homemade graphics and music. We hope you will join our community and provide us with your insightful feedback to guide the development of Shining Orb!
You are a leader of the human resistance. The Elves have enslaved Humanity and are ruling the floating islands with their magic orbs. Might this quest offered by a mysterious contact be your chance to win freedom for your people? Will you succeed, or will you bring doom for all?

RPG Maker strikes again! "Shining Orb Prequel" is one of the many low effort projects made with an easy-to-use construction kit made for children to use, in Kadokawa's own words, "These easy to use tools are simple enough for a child". It's a kitbash of asset flipped RPG Maker stock assets and cringe high school fan fiction. This isn't even a full RPG Maker "game", this asset flip is just an advertisement for another RPG Maker asset flip that was so bad the developer didn't bother making it. The asset flip was intended to be an RPG Maker kitbash with a painfully generic high school anime club dropout fan-fiction about the developer and his imaginary girlfriend, Sofianthe, who has purple hair. Gotta love the imagination of these RPG Maker asset flippers and their fan-fictions. Like other RPG Maker "games", the game engine is extremely low quality. It displays badly in fullscreen, and has no real graphics settings or HD support. It's not up to the same standard we expect from a modern PC game. We can make the argument that construction kit toys like RPG Maker are intended for making small games and demos and things to pass around with friends. Минусы: сложность в управлении и недостаточная оптимизация для современных устройств. Рекомендую для фанатов жанра, но новичкам может показаться слишком требовательным.
It does seem a good start for a game. However the last post on the official site was on december 2018 so it seems it turned vaporware by this point.
Seems perfectly fine. Combat looks good, the dungeons isn't frusting and the sidequests and acivments aren't hard to understand. My issues are pretty minor but they are that the chasracters weren't that engaging or fun, there were a good few spelling mistakes and the music minigame is odd since it has to be just past the arrow and not on top of it. I may not be interested in the full game but there might be something there for people who are interested and it ends with a decent hook.
