About Shooter's Island
Shooter's Island lets you train your FPS skills on mouse & keyboard, controller, or a VR setup.
This aim trainer comes complete with tracking training to test your perception, and flick training to test your reflexes and precision. Work with a pistol, assault rifle, or sniper to take down dummy targets all over the island. To emulate your favorite FPS games, switch between real-world physics and hit-scan bullet action.
Shooter's Island features several distinct areas where you can train.
Check out the concrete jungle of a city, the evergreen forest, and the ominous volcano at the center of the island. For a simple trial, maybe start by seeing how well you do in The Pit, a small maze-like structure with dummy enemies around every corner.
After completing a trial, check your stats on the nearby panel to see how well you performed. Your accuracy and hit count are displayed here, so compete with yourself to see how much you can improve.
Shooter's Island can help you identify your strengths and weaknesses in FPS games, both in VR and other ports.

Fair play, games don't get much more mixed up than 'Shooter's Island'. On the one hand, you have a beautiful, colourful island that reminds me very much of 'Zelda Breath of the Wild'. You are free to explore the island, climb the hills and enjoy the beautiful blue seas lapping all around it. But then you have this cheap ass shooting range game bolted onto the top of the island that if you ask me ruins the enjoyment of the island! You get 3 guns and a handful of game modes, of which every area copies. Oh, and there are 2 timed shooting runs as well. If this had been a cutesy adventure game, or even a cartoon animal hunting game (child-friendly of course) it would have been amazing, but it's not, it's clearly an asset flip of some kind and not one that is worth anyone's time. Check out my video to see what I mean (and yes, I do become stuck in a hole in the scenery in the end)... https://youtu.be/B7JYBs_SQNI4 found this helpful
Checked out this project to get better at fps games on mouse and keyboard. I’m getting better at the island activities, but time will tell how well that translates to competition. It’s evident that it’s still in early access, but there’s some real promise that this will become a really cool game after some updates. Mostly hoping more trials or activities show up to fill out the island more. I’m also looking forward to trying this in VR at some point, thinking this game might have a nice ambience for VR. Pros The shooting mechanics and animations are generally on point Gun design is nice while aiming Great music for the island Satisfying sound effects The art style works surprisingly well for an aim trainer Cons Lack of variation between trials Sniper sometimes has a weird animation Lots of small bugs I’d like more projectile customization and performance data from the trials3 found this helpful
