About Shrot
Shrot is a bite-sized old-school action RTS set on a sandy planet with horses, tractors and techno music.
The game draws inspiration from Paranoia, a Czech remake of Dune 2 and the third real-time strategy game ever made, released only in the Czech Republic in 1995. Shrot changes the formula by adding a mix of modern features and leaning towards faster, more action-packed gameplay.

✦ AI summary
Players praise the game's retro RTS charm, excellent soundtrack, and surprising strategic depth that captures the spirit of classic 90s titles like Dune II. However, some are frustrated by poor difficulty balancing, particularly on easier modes where enemy defenses seem overpowered compared to player armies, and the game isn't universally appealing to those outside the RTS nostalgia crowd.
I'll start going insane thanks to the AI in this game.1 found this helpful
I'm absolutely livid that I didn't realize this existed until recently. I absolutely adored HROT, and to hear that the dev had moved on to doing a kind of Dune II tribute RTS game was excellent news. It's not too expensive, it feels great to play. There's a lot of surprising strategic depth here, too.1 found this helpful

the game is ok but GOOD GOD are there SOO many missing RTS features and quite a decent more amount of things: - can only queue up max 10 units per building - cant auto build units - units have path finding of a down syndrome kid - the enemy AI most likely doesnt operate on an economy since it spams units like hell - theres no attack move so you cant tell you units to attack while moving so it just turns into your units AI running around trying to find a spot that counts as "arrived at location" so it can then finally start shooting the enemy unit that seems to not have this problem - the random money nodes are annoying when your harvester AI just blatantly walks into enemy fire to harvest a bush when there are already 5 bushes near/closer to the base and out of harms way - there is basically no tutorial... the "training" just consists of literally just being thrown into a game with some pre built buildings and you have to figure out what to do before the AI on the map kills you - since every single non-"training" map is randomly generated you get a high chance of the AI spawning near you and the rest of the map being unreachable since the enemy spams units and just keeps se…
Good: Amazing soundtrack, amazing vibe, love the Dune aesthetic. Bad: Why the F does the enemy wipe out my 30 tank battallion with their 20 turrets that they build around their base ON EASY MODE!!! Balancing is poor. Very poor,
Well made but not my type of game
