Lootfest Wars is a compact real-time strategy game developed and published by Fabian Jakobsson, known online as vikingfabian. The game attempts to reimagine the traditional RTS formula by stripping away much of the genre’s complexity and presenting a faster, more approachable experience. Rather than asking players to manage large armies, complex economies, and sprawling bases, Lootfest Wars focuses on quick tactical decisions and short competitive matches that are designed to be accessible even to players unfamiliar with strategy games. The central concept revolves around fast-paced matches where players compete for control of strategic points scattered across the battlefield. Instead of building large bases and gathering resources through workers, the game simplifies the economic system so that money automatically accumulates over time. This passive income system removes one of the most demanding elements of classic RTS games and allows players to concentrate entirely on positioning units and contesting objectives. Matches are intentionally brief, typically lasting only a few minutes. This condensed format changes the pace of strategy gameplay significantly. From the moment the …

"Lootfest Wars" is a really lame amateur made RTS game with some seriously bad graphics, and, surprise surprise, the gameplay is on-par with that. This features fairly low quality low poly/voxel style 3D visuals which will deter a lot of gamers, understandably. Gaming is a visual medium, and it's clear the developers behind this didn't understand that. Developers need to learn that Minecraft succeeded despite the bad graphics, not because of them. It's free... now, but it wasn't before. The developer was charging $2 USD for this. Price barriers, especially on low quality products, can be a direct cause of failure. It's a nice gesture for the game to be given away for free, but it also tells us that the game wasn't good enough to succeed as a paid product. Even though this is "free", it failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 3 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Not this time. This isn't worth downloading. …

Genuinely a fun game at its core. If the graphics were improved (more stylized, not really better), and the clunkiness was polished, maybe this wouldve been more popular. The developer is pretty wholesome though, and responds to stuff in the community, so the game also has to get props for that
