Lootfest Wars is a small real time strategy game that I find pretty easy to get into because it does not try to bury me under a huge amount of systems. The whole idea is to take control of flags while building up an army from a hand of random cards. Money comes in automatically as the match goes on, so I can spend it on soldiers and buildings and then send them into the fight. The matches are designed to last around five minutes, which makes this feel much more like a quick strategy game than something I need to sit down with for hours. What I like most is how simple the controls and basic rules are. I do not have to constantly worry about gathering several different resources or managing a massive base. I am mostly thinking about where I need my units, which cards are useful right now and how I can take or defend the flags. That makes the game feel relaxed compared with a lot of RTS games. At the same time, the limited time means I still have to make decisions fairly quickly because sitting around and waiting is not going to win the match for me. Тем не менее, 'Lootfest Wars' отлично подходит для коротких игровых сессий, когда хочется просто отключить мозг и расслабиться, уничтожая орды противников и собирая тонны лута. Genuinely a fun game at its core. If the graphics were improved (more stylized, not really better), and the clunkiness was polished, maybe this wouldve been more popular. The developer is pretty wholesome though, and responds to stuff in the community, so the game also has to get props for that
