Sketch

played the first level, it was alright. mainly downloaded this just so i could leave a review cause one of the devs for this was a substitute teacher in my english class a few months back and i just randomly remembered that he had written down the name of this game up on the board. cool sub so yeah give it id give it a try since he was pretty cool

Extremely difficult controls, don't recommend.

"Sketch" is yet another of literally thousands of 2D retro platformers on Steam. Now while you might think this is some kind of Scribblenauts ripoff, it's much shallower than that. It's a basic platformer "brawler", run into enemies with the eraser on your pencil to kill them. The biggest gimmick here is one that quite a few other platformers also use (some of them better than this), where you can draw simple objects that allow you to solve puzzle platformer elements in each level. Yep, that's it, that's all there is to it. The game features really lacklustre hand drawn 2D visuals (I know that's the point, but does the developer not know 3D graphics became mainstream in the mid-1990s?). Gamers don't spend thousands of dollars on gaming rigs and the latest 3D graphics cards to play 2D games. Even mobile phones can do 3D graphics now. There's no excuse. Not every "free" game really is. There's often MTX, or content locked behind DLC, or donations being requested, or any other number of things that could mislead gamers, but in this case I'm glad to say this really does appear to be a fully free game.
