What Steam players say
Recent verbatim reviews from Steam — separate from playze.io community reviews below.
Players report highly inconsistent experiences with VR Pinball FX, with success varying significantly by hardware and setup. Common issues include controller compatibility problems (particularly with PSVR2 and Quest 3), blurry visuals and text readability on some headsets, and confusing setup requirements, though some users have resolved these by disabling Steam Input and adjusting resolution settings in graphics options. Those who get the game working generally find it enjoyable, but the technical barriers and lack of consistent controller support across VR platforms have left many frustrated
I don't get what everyone is talking about. I've read people saying there's no way to adjust the video for VR in the game settings but I had no problem finding it in Options, They say that it's blurry and you can't read text in game, Again no problem there since I turned the screen to it's highest, and the game still ran flawless. The graphics get the job done, So no complaints. I couldn't get PSVR2 controllers to work, but the Xbox controller worked perfectly. I have Quest 2 but haven't tried it so don't no if those controllers work though I did read someone say they had it working. Personally I like the Xbox controller for VR pinball.3 found this helpful
DO NOT BUY THIS! The controls don't work and the devs gave up on fixing them (read the forums.) This game should be delisted.1 found this helpful
Doesn't work on Quest 3 at all. Waste of money.1 found this helpful
Played on PSVR2 (with PC adapter), a 3080 GPU, and an xbox game controller. I was a bit apprehensive about even trying this game as so many people have complained about technical issues but I like the other Pinball FX games so decided to take the chance. It took me a while to get this up and running without issues, but having now got there I think it's definitely worth what I paid for it (around £11 [sale price]). To get everything working I did the following: - In steam's Controller settings, I disabled "Steam Input" (that's probably the most crucial game setting). After making this change, the xbox controller worked perfectly. - I also set the VR game resolution to 240% (100% is fine but the game is much clearer if your GPU has enough grunt to super-sample). The second time I launched the game I lost all audio. Had to restart Steam VR to fix this but it's not happened since. The tables I have tried so far are as good as any I've played in the other Pinball FX games. Admittedly I've not had time to try them all yet but if my opinions change I'll update the review. Anyway with the Steam Input setting changed the game now seems very stable/solid. Definitely recommended - espe…
