About Super Cube Smash
This is my first published game, made using Unity and Playmaker.
Super cube smash is a rhythmic action game that generates music as you play.
It is set on the mysterious ancient spaceship 'The Dwarfstone' where the most peculiar and unfortunate of events have occurred.
Your mission is to find the core of the ship and destroy the source of the acidic alien cube swarm, before it grows to a concentration beyond your control.
Super Cube Smash is a very difficult single player challenge, with an official steam leader board.
Features...
-Rhythmic step-sequencer; putting everything in time to the rhythm, even your gun shots.
-Dark, moody and colourful aesthetic.
-Responsive, familiar controls (wasd and mouse or Xbox pad).
-17 tough hand crafted levels.
-Non-linear completion.
-Adaptive difficulty. The more you complete and level up, the harder it gets.
-A shooting game without gore (child friendly).
-Hardcore mode (because the game isn't hard enough already). Granting the opportunity for higher scores.
Super cube smash was created solely by Lewis Fitzjohn over the course of 2014 - 2015.
Steam online leader-board functionality implemented by David Jordan.

Interesting,But This Game Needs Attention,I Think Is An Abandoned Project... But If They Can Resolve Some Bugs, It Will Be Excelent1 found this helpful
A forgettable low-tier top-down shooter I won't ever launch again. It implements most mechanics smooth enough, which is sorta good for this tier, but the presentation is ugly. From an indie dev standpoint, this is fine for a first project. Would I buy it for 6$? Hell no.
Really solid and underrated game. It's not a masterpiece but it IS good. I really enjoy the rhythm aspect and how each time you fire it magically fits into as part of the soundtrack and how parts of the environment revolve around music. It makes for a really satisfying and euphoric gameplay. the gameplay is pretty simple but it doesn't feel like it needs to be any more complicated. Regardless, I feel as if it should've had maybe one or three extra mechanics to work against. Oh also I really love the visuals. The hud is very minimal and nice, the environments have a great look to them, and the cube aspect is charming. I wouldn't call this a must buy, but it's definitely a solid game that I will find myself coming back to time to time
I recieved a free copy of this game, a challenging shooter. Control with twin stick or mouse and keyboard. A selection of view modes. Set on a spaceship with an interesting atmosphere, lighting and sound design. The music is nicely synced to the action. There are a limited number of power-up spheres to collect, which you then use to increase player stats (your choice of weapon, movement or health), meaning the game gets faster and more intense. Explore the ship in a non-linear fashion, each door leads to an interesting hand-crafed level, or to another part of the ship. I found this game pretty tough, but gratifying. I am stuck on a boss at the moment, but have enjoyed many hours play so far. Massive respect to Lewis Fitzjohn for making this game single-handedly.
