Team Lazerbeam and The Superweaks invite you to rock out with Paperperson, the lead single from their upcoming game/ album split release, Teenage Blob!In Paperperson you play an amorphous teen and you’re about to see your favourite band, tonight is going to be the greatest night of your life! There’s just one problem: before the gig you want to buy some new boots, and before you can do that you’re gonna need to work your butt off! Time to grab your bike, hit the streets of the suburbs and throw sandwiches at everything that moves!

"Teenage Blob: Paperperson - The First Single" is is not a game. It's an advertisement for a product called "Teenage Blob". Teenage Blob is an unabashed, direct IP violation, a direct copyright infringement act as the developer stole the game Paperboy (copyright Atari/Midway, 1985) and put a hand drawn joke skin on it. As Tetris Company LLC vs Xio Interactive (2012, NJ district court) shows, developers cannot just wholesale steal other developers intellectual property in this manner, not even if it's "reverse engineered". As such, Teenage Blob only exists on Steam until the lawyers hit... and given this copyright law violation is being done for profit, it's not just a civil matter. This kind of copyright theft carries fines of up to $250,000 and up to 5 years in prison. But this isn't completely relevant because this is not Teenage Blob, it's just an advertisment for it, so it's not correct to try to review that completely distinct product. We must instead review this for what it is... an advertisement. Управление отзывчивое и интуитивно понятное, а геймплей вызывает привыкание: сбор газет, уклонение от препятствий и выполнение трюков - все это сливается в безумный, но увлекательный опыт. Визуальный стиль намеренно упрощенный, но полон очарования и индивидуальности. Музыкальное сопровождение идеально подходит под динамику игры, создавая бодрое и энергичное настроение. Хотя игра довольно короткая, она оставляет приятное послевкусие. Сюжет прост, но не лишен юмора, и история об увлечении популярной группой 'Teenage Blob' заставляет улыбнуться. Немного не хватает разнообразия в уровнях, но в целом 'Teenage Blob: Paperperson - The First Single' - это отличный пример того, как создать запоминающуюся и веселую инди-игру с простыми, но тщательно отполированными механиками.
