【Story Summary】
The princess was just too beautiful. She was given all the good qualities of this world, such things as beauty, grace, kindness, tolerance, and honesty. It would soon be the princess’ 16th birthday. On the day of her birthday, a young girl visited the castle. She was a witch.
The witch spoke words of incantation, and the princess fell into an eternal sleep. The days would pass with none but the two girls together in the confines of the princess’ room. On the 100th year of the princess’ sleep, a brave prince visited her sleeping form. The princes had been told by a wise man that the princess would awaken with a kiss. However, the princess would not awaken, and the prince defeatedly returned home.
Every 100 years a new prince would visit the princess. Heroes from history, legendary figures, people from alternate worlds… Everyone tried to awaken the princess.
The witch, with the desire to protect the princess, would gaze with frigid eyes upon those who wished to awaken her. What is the motive of this mysterious witch? What secret was entrusted to the princess? All is still unclear.
A great VN marred by serious technical issues
The game opens in Japanese, without an option to change the language - which is very alarming. Thankfully this wasn't a problem to me, but anyone who cannot read Japanese to find the English option might have issues. There are very basic VN features missing. No auto mode, no text speed increase/decrease, no individual voice options, you cannot save whenever you want! Checkpoints are not displayed, so you have to try and play chapters in their entirety, to avoid having to re-read the same parts. Because you can't even skip already read text. And this way getting to where you left off takes a very long time. That's not good at all. A lot of lines are voiced, but even more aren't. What's there is excellent and I wish there were more. The game (at least in English) likes to auto advance between voiced lines if multiple characters are talking on the same page, so lines are sometimes cut short and a new voice is played. It's disorienting in a bad way. It is very hard to advance to the next page after all the text is displayed. The game only allows mouse left click to advance, you can't use the keyboard at all... no …50 found this helpful
I don't really know whether to recommend this game or not, I will err on the side of "No" The good : the arts style is beautiful, the music is good. The ok: the story is well interesting, it is not ground breaking, you can see the twist a mile away. The bad: the game is very slow, not that the pacing is slow, for a Novel game, and every time you move to another sentence and it took 2 sec to clear up single alphabet of the previous sentence, it makes the game very slow. There are some bug, I think they are bugs because sometime there is no voice at all. This is more like a Kinetic Novel than your normal VN.14 found this helpful

A story about a cursed princess and castle, inspired by Sleeping Beauty. It's not only following the original, also a unique interpretation story. The visual is mysterious and fantastic with Live2D animations, protagonists voiced, and several branches. Video >> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X1GRwwGYhB812 found this helpful
I finished the whole game but, I did not finish all endings. I enjoyed this game. I found it very engaging and fairly unique. It does have some flaws though. Story: The story tackles themes of love, philosophy, religion, and the meaning of life. For those of you that are coming here because of your love of the megaten franchise, there are demons in this game but, not many and it's not a big focus in the story (sorry). The way the game is set up, the story can come off a bit repetitive (most chapters involve a new suitor being tested). However, I do feel like there was still a good diversity in the characters you see in this game. I think the ending is a bit lack luster and left a few questions unanswered but, it's not really a big deal. The bonus side story (chapter 13) is also very good imo even if it has less unique artwork than the main story. Trigger Warning: This game has some themes of sexual assault. It is not glamorized but, it is there. Art: Most of the art was beautiful and I was very impressed with the partial animation of the characters and scenery but, some of the art is clearly less polished than the rest. Some of the suitors also seem to be drawn in a much more…11 found this helpful
An intriguing, well-written VN with beautiful art - and numerous technical issues. Make sure to turn off the text effect in options before you start the game; and be prepared for 30-second loading delays for some scenes, even on an SSD.5 found this helpful
I will be honest, this game is not worth the price. The engine behind this game is Unity, that mean it tend to hiccup and freeze a lot during transition between scenes. Big minus point. There is nothing wrong with dark theme story telling here, but I gotta say sometime nothing make sense, for example I try to protect the princess yet get a bad ending? While the other choice just make things worst but still lead to the same action as protect the princess yet that get a pass? Very dull writing there, as if the writer lack the idea how to proceed those scenes logically and make them interesting. There is no guide to get all available chapters and the pace is slow even when user did turn off text effect (no skip feature here guys, you have to click manually), which are bad for a visual novel game. I try to think in a positive way, maybe that somehow the big picture of the story can save the rest but can't. Even for the last chapters near the end, things such as ''true love'' felt forced and rush for all main characters. I am sorry, but I cannot recommend this game for anyone! It make me fall asleep during play! No visual novel game should ever bore player like that, especially when…1 found this helpful
