The Ancient Labyrinth

My buddy and fellow streamer SilentProtagonist bought me the game for belated Christmas, and I challenged him (and myself) to a first playthrough on stream with him commenatating. I was pleasantly surprised on how well done this game was for a Unity Free-Asset game, with wonderful mapping, great puzzles that stumped me a few times, and a monster that scared the holy f***-nuts outta me. This game deserves more time in the limelight and I will certainly be trying a 100% run and possibly a speedrun. Thank you for the game, Silent, I still love/hate you for this. X3

My original intention for this was to write a scathing review about how this game isn't any fun, simply too dark, and the Easy mode should've allowed the player infinite saves at the Save-points. However, after grinding it out and sticking to the game, I actually ended up deriving enjoyment from the whole experience as it stands. I even played it twice so that I could experience the Good and Bad endings. I think the game really is too dark at first because you can't see any of the beautiful environments the author created, but it becomes a bit easier once the thunder and lightning start when you have 4 out of the 8 gems, because then at least the place becomes illuminated once in a while without needing to pull out the torch. While this is not my favorite survival horror game ever, I really like the setting since no one ever does ancient Egypt for this, and I think Nicola did a really good job here. I hope we see more from him in the future because he is very talented. It took me a while to love this game, but eventually I got there. Thank you Nicola for creating this experience for us.

Lots of attention to detail and care was put into this. I feel like if it got remade today, with better animations and models, it would be a cult classic for maze lovers.

The Game Is Actually Fantastic. The Puzzles And Unlocks Are Interesting. Easy Mode Has 4 Saves (Which I Didn't Realize Until It Was Too Late!) Creature is so hard even easy mode. I cannot see creature in the dark. Even i don't use my torch creature can see me what should i do?. It is unlogical situation. We can save 4 times on easy mode but i couldnt like this game :/
