About The Bench

Have you ever wondered what it’s like to be an old man sitting on a park bench? What does he do all day, sitting there with his newspaper, lost in thought, as time drifts by?With a walking stick in hand, an endless supply of bread (and plenty of comfortable benches), you’ll explore a colorful world full of puzzles, hidden objects, and of course… pigeons!Throughout your adventure, you’ll lead an ever-growing flock of adorable, customizable pigeons that will follow your every command: make them steal useful items, help you solve puzzles, or simply keep you company while you fish, doodle, or nap. In The Bench, pigeons are your best friends. Play harmless pranks on park visitors and maintenance staff, disrupt picnics and parties, toss passersby into the air, and interact with the world around you however you like! The world outside the retirement home is full of life and color, and as you carry on your escape, memories of a life once lived as an agent resurface, reminders that you’re far from being just a simple retiree.Explore beautifully designed, colorful maps, each with its own quirks, and dive into fun mini-games: solve puzzles, doodle in your notebook, play chess, bowls, football, or go fishing. There’s always something to keep your mind sharp, and stop you from dozing off.Perfect for fans of puzzles, hidden objects, and adventure games, The Bench is a delightful blend of relaxation and challenge, with a touch of wholesome humor. The game also features a list of unique Twitch integrations to discover.

Honestly this is my first review. With that said I really like this game, its super funny and I would go around and show my friends and family how I named my pigeon Jeremy and gave him a brick. Everyone thought it was hilarious, super engaging and it even got my foster daughter to start enjoying games. Very good intro game for kids, and still fun for adults. Very good and well constructed puzzles, highly recommend.

A fun escape room style adventure with an intersting mechanic of pigeon-mancy.

The game is fun, but the bugs are just not doable...... Puzzlewise it's really thinking outside of the box and its very diverse in what to do. Its been a while since a game had me stuck My main love is the pidgeon army and the customizations!!! Love it! But yeah.... the heckin bugs....... so many...... had to restart the game so many times, it was honestly frustrating. So unfortunatly even though I l9ve this game its patience wise not doable to ever play this again......

I really, really wanted to love this game after playing the demo. The bugs are frustrating (yes, I've reported them), but even worse is the inconsistency in the in-game logic. What works for one puzzle doesn't work for another. If this game had a hint section for when you're really stuck, I could probably enjoy it but being stuck for hours is frustrating and demoralising. I like the concept of the game, bhttps://store.steampowered.com/app/3183410/The_Bench/#ut so far (just got to the city), the story is very light and the puzzles are too punishing (seriously, why won't the box go down the hole in the 4-bench sewer puzzle??? There just isn't enough of the good parts to outweigh the negatives. Sorry!

Interesting at first, but soon you realize how bad the game really is. Performing acts in the game is just not intuitive. Once you get a feel for it, it's still awkward. And 0MG don't get me started on the pigeon sounds and animations, as well as a very limited sound track that really grate on your nerves after a while. Plenty of bugs throughout this game, even 8 months after launch. Characters and objects can get stuck, forcing you to exit to menu to reset things. Then when you do continue your game, other items you wanted to remain changed (such as hedges trimmed/cut) respawn again. You could perform this to knock the same character down the steps over and over again for all eternity. Not to mention the connect-the-dots games that have rules but then somehow fail to adhere to those rules if you don't proceed the way the developers expected. Also, some stamps are missed permanently, meaning you have to start over if you're trying to get Steam achievements. But that's not the worst aspect of this game... The puzzles are just guessing games to find out what the game wants in order to proceed. Just like rolling dice or throwing darts in the dark, hoping to hit something. They are …
