The Black Knight (2022)

Not only does it play like a bad demo or school project, but it is also falsely advertised as being: [b][i]"a 'metroidvania-like' experience"[/i][/b] I played to level 3. From what I have seen, all this is, is single stages with keys and doors, and a boss at the end of a level. That is NOT metroidvania-like in any sense of the term. [b][i]"Epic Bosses with different Mechanics"[/i][/b] The bosses don't do anything special, All they do is move toward you and use a single attack. [b][i]"Core RPG Elements"[/i][/b] like what? your slash attack is a sword? [b][i]"Puzzles to solve"[/i][/b] Its possible these show up later than I played, but given the track record thus far, i doubt it. When i drag a box thats right next to a platform, so i can jump onto it to get to the next platform, is that what is generously being misconstrued as a puzzle? Moving on. If you press 'A' to skip past the opening logo, rather than send you to the main menu, it selects the first option on the main menu, which is 'New Game'. Una experiencia corta, directo al grano, lo único critico es que el personaje es demasiado incontrolable, los jefes no presentan reto alguno, el giro demasiado brusco de los enemigos, ademas de la hitbox extraña e incoherente.

Being an indie game, I disregarded the possible bugs and maybe low-cost mechanics / animations. But this game brings a good experience, in my opinion it managed to bring the essence of a good metroidvania. The loneliness and lack of music on the map reminded me a little of the souls saga games, which I really liked. Congratulations on the game, it was really good, I would say that it was mission accomplished. And to the players who will rate the game, remember everything has a beginning and nobody starts at the top.

It is a Steam PC game. Please stop forcing us to use controllers. We don't want to. We like our keyboards. Dialogues aren't skippable. Its a basic gaming design nowadays. Not for me.

A very good game made by just one person, i will be waiting for the sequel, the pixel art is gorgeous and the animation too. LOOK at THE HORSEEEE
