The Great Perhaps tells the story of an astronaut returning to Earth destroyed by natural cataclysms.
There, among the ruins he finds an unusual artifact — an old lantern, in the light of which you can see glimpses of another time and travel to the past.
Experience constant time traveling between an empty, melancholic scenery of the post-apocalyptic Earth and its vivid days gone by.
The hero will face the danger in the post-apocalyptic present, as well as in the past. Help him on his journey to find out the true cause of the disaster and save the planet!

The Great Perhaps impresses players with its atmospheric storytelling, emotional voice acting, and clever time-travel mechanics that shift between past and present to solve puzzles and enhance narrative weight. However, the experience is hampered by technical bugs causing level resets, awkward controls, unclear puzzle objectives, and a frustrating cliffhanger ending that leaves the story unresolved.
I'm going to give this a recommended because I [b]did[/b] enjoy it overall. The game's tone and narrative are really good, coupled with some emotional voice acting and an atmospheric soundtrack. Unfortunately, there is one [i]very[/i] important thing that anyone looking to play this needs to be aware of: It ends on a cliffhanger. A big one. Mechanically, The Great Perhaps offers some really neat ideas by having the ability to see into/shift back and forth between the past and the present via your little lamp. It allows for puzzles and a bit of exploration, and feels appropriate for the time travel story being told. It also enhances the mood, because seeing the devastated location you're in full of life and knowing what it [i]actually[/i] looks like now lends weight what's happening and Kosmos' desire to figure out how to stop it. The game is broken up into 14 "levels" as you travel between the landing site and different locations within the city. Along the way you'll encounter subway tunnels and a residential area, even going through a bank at one point. Well, I am trying here to play the game that never starts, no, I won't recommend it because there is NO game to play here?! WTF?! 12 Minutes watching the story to : click on links ONLY?! WTF AGAIN?!
I wanted to give a positive review for its interesting story and unique gameplay concept, but the amount of bugs that forced level resets and silly time wasting moments were just too much for me.
