About The Leopard Catgirl in Miaoli
Story
In the year 201X, Hualian county held a mockery of a referendum to become the Kingdom of Hualian. After the Kingdom of Hualian is established, it had a domino effect where all 22 counties in Taiwan held a similar referendum. Surprisingly, all of them were successful, leading to chaos in Taiwan.
The protagonist Wang Cheng-En was a pharmacist who worked in Taipei. When he was barred from working there, he returned to his hometown Miaoli Empire. Along the way, he didn't expect to come across a wounded leopard catgirl Pisuka Riya. By taking care of her, a story on the romance between the two of them in Miaoli Empire begins.

At the beginning I really thought this would turn out as a pretty generic Romcom with an animal girl as your romance partner, but while playing through it I realized how wrong I was. This is a great short VN with some really good twists and turns in the story that takes around three hours to read through. It also has a cliffhanger at the end, but at the same time it feels like it stopped at a great moment so you dont feel super like you are missing something. Plus the sequel also just got released :). The art and music are both quite nice especially considering the low price and since chinese VNs rarely get a good english translation I also wasnt expecting much from it, but even though it isnt perfect it never got to a point were you would say that it is bad or takes away from the enjoyment of the story. A second minor negative for me is that you cant make the text appear instantly which I just always like to have. Apart from that however I can really recommend this VN as it is very cheap, but at the same time a great read and it doesnt have any problems that destroy the experience. 8/10 Check out my Curator Page: https://store.steampowered.com/curator/34401214/13 found this helpful
The relationship between the two characters is boringly written and the drama is far too much and too long. I would only recommend it if you're looking for less romance and more story in a visual novel or if you have already read everything else. By the way it is unvoiced and there are 4 unobtainable achievements, because they are only placeholders for a future update (at least as of today, October 24, 2025). Even the low price is not a selling point, as you can find many better visual novels in Steam that cost less or the same amount of money. Of course this is just my opinion, but because of these reasons I don't like it.2 found this helpful
this game, ive bought it 2 years ago, and i played it just this week, and genuinly. its a great visual novel. it has a compelling story. the leopard girl (pisuka) is a cute character, with alot of personallity and isnt just an empty soul. this game also has its sad moments. yes i did almost cry. but genuinly, its like 4 euros. just buy it and play it. its also a pretty short game, like 5-6 hours if you just go through the game. great game
yes
Ok so this is the first Japanese whatever kind of game this is that I ever bought. Holey shiz. You people are degenerates and completely insane. How in the heck do things like this even get made? The story is insanely stupid, most of the art is just backdrops and the characters are so insipid I almost threw up. I can't even imagine what drives people to "play" "games" like this. Yikes!!
