The Rake

A very promising game. It offers the general hunt and be hunted experience with Rake as our lovely host. You have a good selection of different guns instead of just one or two rifles with more weapons set to be added later. The game has great graphics and especially all the weather variants and effects. As of writing this the game has one playable map which isn't a problem since the map itself is already quite big but once you get lost due to a blizzard or a thunderstorm it will feel like you are traversing an entire state. The dev has more content planned like multiplayer and two additional maps, including a remake of the original 2015 map, so the future is looking really bright. Honestly, If there can be a game that matches the atmosphere and feel of the 2015 original or even surpasses it, it's gonna be this one.

Yeah unfortunately this sucks. I REALLY loved the original because it was mysterious, atmospheric and NOT ON 5 FPS! This? The biggest piece of ♥♥♥♥ i've ever seen. I have a really good computer and it lagged like hell when i had LOW SETTINGS AND UNLIMITED FPS SET. Also the rake looks like all the other 'monsters' or just like a bought asset. No multiplayer, no nothing. This honestly doesn't even feel like The Rake. It doesn't even LOOK like the rake. I'm very disappointed but i won't be refunding it because i still have hope that maybe someday the dev will WAKE THE ♥♥♥♥ UP AND FIX THIS MESS OF A ♥♥♥♥. 2/10. Edit: Sorry if it sounded a bit rude, i was just kinda mad and disappointed but i didnt want to make it seem like its the worst thing ever ( its not ) but the performance is just not it. I am however waiting if there will be any changes to the game.

one of the most scariest game i played its really fun since its open world there should be base building with trap mechanics

This game is bad pros: game has at times a scary atmosphere weather is quite cool cons: rake ai is bad, can't even out run it, no improvements from the original. the map looks like a bunch of assets mixed together. needs a better loading system Final thoughs: I think the game can improve but the fact that the dev thinks this is a finished product is crazy (thought this would be an early access game atleast). The game in itself is basically made by 1 dev so i won't be too harsh but i have to mention that on the devs websites there's merch (which just makes it feel like the dev wants money, this is also supported by the 2 steam dlcs but whatever) and a new upcoming game shown.. This game is a janky mess yet you want to create another game? Sure devs shouldn't be stuck to one game but this game NEEDS alot of work. So yeah, wouldn't recommend buying this game.
