I think Thunder Age is a good proof of concept. In its current iteration, it may be a stretch to call it a full game, but considering it is free to play and a student project, I think it’s impressive how much thought they managed to put into it. I haven’t seen many tower defence games like this in a while, so it’s a refreshing return to something familiar (for me). Give it a go, see if you can survive level four with three stars, and challenge your mind to come up with the best labyrinth since Daedalus! [code]Reviewed at GameGrin.com. A very very different tower defense - puzzle game where you have to protect your base against electricity attacks. It's highly original but also a bit demanding and punitive. I would even say irritating at times. Interesting for puzzle gamers like myself though.2 found this helpful
Fun puzzle game, gave me a good strain on my brain. Would definitely recommend!2 found this helpful
Not recommended - unoptimized in every way, takes 200 % the required "4GB" RAM and loads forever.
- Too dark, not enough visibility. - There is *no* reason for the walls to be fully opaque *or* that tall. - Lack of a full overhead view leads to misclicks. But the biggest game design sin is in making a Tower Defense game that *makes you reload every single tower manually*. In a genre where towers are automated.
Nope, trash game. Could have been good. Need to be able to angle the camera up and see things properly + prep time for rounds. Annoying AF, don't play it. Also the 'tutorial' actions carry over into the level!? Then theres units you arent told about that fly directly to the end over paths.
