Trade Rivals – Goblin Age is a competitive shop-management game that turns economics into a lively, often ruthless social contest. Developed and published by Roog Game Studio, it frames commerce not as a quiet exercise in optimization, but as a chaotic battleground where cunning, timing, and a willingness to inconvenience rivals matter just as much as smart pricing. Set in a whimsical goblin-run world, the game embraces mischief and volatility, presenting a marketplace where fortunes rise and fall rapidly and no lead is ever completely safe. The core structure of each match is built around a limited number of in-game days, during which players must run their own shops as efficiently and opportunistically as possible. Each day begins with preparation: purchasing goods from suppliers, arranging shelves, and setting prices in anticipation of customer demand. Once shops open, the pace accelerates as customers flood in, reacting instantly to price differences, stock availability, and reputation. This creates a tense loop where pre-planning meets real-time adjustment, forcing players to stay alert and responsive rather than relying solely on long-term strategy. DO NOT BUY THIS ABANDONDED GAME! This game had very high potential and a fun gameplay loop which made it fun to play for a few hours Sadly that where all the positive things i have to say ends. The devs have abandoned this game not releasing a single update since september 2025 after releasing many and frequent updates. the game mechanics are a bit to simple and it needs way more content to be a great game.
Very good game with friends, even though I've lost almost every single time I played I've had lots of fun. IMO if you can have fun on a game while losing it's at least a decently good game, this is even slightly better than that. Nothing too complex though and doesn't seem to be updated too often.
I asked them during the demo why they used generative AI art and the devs said it was placeholder to get the demo out in time and by the full release it would be replaced. Over a year later and the usage of AI generated artwork has not been replaced at all, and they have continued to use it for more purposes. Cannot recommend a game that doesn't support real artists. ♥♥♥♥♥♥ MS Paint artwork would be better than using generative AI.
The game is very slow and not very profitable.
Not for me, certainly. Also, game doesn't let me mute the music, which is a total let down in 2026.
