Transistor impresses players with its stunning hand-drawn art design, excellent soundtrack, and engaging ability combinations that offer meaningful strategic depth in combat. However, some find the game's narrative pacing slow to develop, and a few critics feel the experience is primarily a one-time playthrough despite its artistic strengths, while others mention occasional balance issues and navigation confusion.

Surprisingly short, but the story was very good. I'm preferential to Bastion, and hadn't really played turn-based before... it's a good introduction to the genre.

This is my third Supergiant title played, and it was very very cool. Mostly enjoyed! I really liked the idea of the planning/time stop in each encounter, and there is also a very nice variety of moves you can unlock. However, my biggest complaint with the game is related to this planning gameplay. after execute your turn, you are recharging most moves (except Jaunt? if you have it) and vulnerable for a few seconds, which is actually really annoying to deal with especially with harder bosses or fast enemies. even if you have Jaunt, it's easy to get stuck behind walls, or for the enemies to very easily catch up with you (I am looking at you, Fetch) so you just kinda have to take damage and its annoying. It makes sense that you cant do most of your offensive moves during the recharge phase but i wish there were more dodge options since Red is kinda slow, and other dodge/defensive options like Mask take FOREVER to recharge As you can expect from Supergiant, the music and art is fantastic. The story is a little harder to pick up. I collected all the files and really sifted through them so I think I got the basic idea of it kind of?, but the vibes of the game were enough for m…

An excellent indie game with a distinctive cyberpunk atmosphere and a very interesting combat system that blends real-time action with tactical planning. The ability to pause the action and plan attacks creates a satisfying mix of strategy and real-time combat, while the different functions offer plenty of room to experiment with build. It's a very enjoyable and original experience, although its relatively short length leaves you wanting more. 100% Completion Time : 14.4H Completion Difficulty : 3/10 Playthroughs : 2 Missables : None Notable requirements : Complete the game twice, NG+, Complete all test, reach user level 24.
