About TRAUMAHACK

I just need one more payout, and then I'm gone.

TRAUMAHACK is an atmospheric PSX-inspired survival horror game where you remotely hijack the abandoned bodies of Robot Puppets buried beneath the city. From a cramped apartment that barely keeps the rain out, you descend through forgotten maintenance tunnels, derelict facilities, and places better left sealed. What begins as another job quickly unravels into something far older and more disturbing than abandoned machinery.

Features

  • A short, atmospheric retro horror game.
  • Physical objects and environmental interaction.
  • Manage fuses and lighting to survive in environments swallowed by darkness.
  • Navigate oppressive industrial spaces inspired by PSX-era horror classics.

Game is interesting but suffers from game breaking glitches and the core gameplay mechanics being find key / fuses to progress over and over and over again. During my gameplay the game glitched out multiple times I ended up getting softlocked because things didn't load in but thankfully restarting the game solved it and the checkpoints were good so I didn't suffer too much. The worst part of the game is finding keys / fuses over and over again and I gave up towards the end of my video since I had to find so many fuses I would have to backtrack far as hell to progress to find more. To add on as well the spiders are annoying as hell to deal with because there is no sprint mechanic in the game and the spiders go at like mach 10 speeds so good luck if you run out of ammo. It was even worse at my end of vid part because I had no where to avoid the spider because I can't run. I don't get why indie devs love torturing the player but this game is one of them https://youtu.be/rX4LJIlhcG8

I'd pay $100 for this indie gem. Love supporting solo devs.

Fun, the progression of enemy difficulty scaled well with getting used to the mechanics. I think this environment is begging for a story and some suspense. Also the sounds is not well balanced so it would be great to have more volume sliders

don't let my hours mislead you, this game is not nearly 4 hours long. i just like messing around and staring at props this is the developer's first game so with that in mind here is what i thought. the good :) solid gameplay. though i have some issue with the physics (propflying, abruptly spinning around after stepping on a small floor prop) and the fuse puzzles being too simple (put fuse in box to open door. put 3 fuses in 3 boxes to open door. c'mon). the lighting mechanics work well and were definitely a highlight (hah) allowing you to create pockets of safety in the dark and claustrophobic environments. but then the game is extremely generous with light sources for most of the levels! so unfortunately interacting with this system is mostly unnecessary, outside of initial enemy encounters. i loved the art and presentation! the lighting is again used well to create some striking visuals, and alongside the fusebox wires (mostly) intuitively guide you around. the textures and models are gritty and detailed, and even inconsequential props are shown a level of care (BSODing computers, smashing bottles, flushable toilet) the bad :( barebones settings menu. (no FOV slider? no rebind…

Cool first person horror/puzzle game with an interesting atmosphere. Reminds me alot of half life. Wish it was longer, although it was a fun and immersive couple of hours.

Super interesting atmosphere that lets you come up with the story for yourself! Played with a friend with lights out and let the fear take over. There were a few bugs but nothing that couldn't be fixed by going to main menu and continuing the game. Overall would rate it a 7/10 and excited to see what else the dev comes up with!
