Triplets Trouble!!!

I'm gonna be honest I'm not big fan of Japanese Styled Slice of Life genre but this game showed me that It can be quite fun, wholesome and done very well If good voice acting and unusual, cute and colorful Art Style is put into it. The backgrounds look nice, the cutscenes, music and even the character design is great. Dad and Aunt are most recognizable characters but Triplets have their flaws. They are too similar to each other and It's hard to guess which one is who with their names. But despite this little thing It was pretty good visual novel with some slight interactive elements put into it.

"Triplets Trouble!!!" is a weird, badly written e-book from a weeaboo in Brazil about a fictional family of triplets. This scrapes by into the "game" category because there's some trite Py'Game point and click stuff (that's worse than the gameplay you'd find in a mobile app... remember, this is Steam, for PC games!) What do you do in the game? Read badly written, often cringey e-book fan-fiction writing. Sometimes click on stuff. So, it's hard to describe this as a game, the focus of the product is more like that of an e-book/visual novel, there's only minor, shallow and uninteresting gameplay elements. The crux of this is to push some very low quality, badly done fan-fiction tier writing, where we see once more a developer fail to understand the importance of "Show, don't tell", and for whatever reason, weren't able to convey their narrative through gameplay, giving us endless lines of badly written e-book text instead. My gaming rig is not a kindle. The game features really lacklustre 2D visuals (does the developer not know 3D graphics became mainstream in the mid-1990s?). Gamers don't spend thousands of dollars on gaming rigs and the latest 3D graphics cards to play 2D …

The game is cute and free. It's mostly a visual novel with some mild interactivity in parts, with quite a bit of content for a free game. The kids seem to have their own personalities, and the father character is especially great. However, several things about this game also annoyed me, which I'll cover briefly here: ・The default text speed is ridiculously slow. You can speed it up manually, but I don't know why they didn't just put it at a normal speed by default. ・The kids look almost identical (yeah yeah they're triplets but you need a way for the player to easily distinguish the characters) and have almost identical Japanese names. As if that weren't confusing enough, they also constantly refer to each other with nicknames, including one that could easily be derived from [i]any[/i] of the names, and the game often refers to them by their birth order as well. I struggled to distinguish the characters and identify which one was which throughout the entire game. ・I played the game in Portuguese, so I can't speak for the English version, but the game constantly changes the kids' pronouns in the Portuguese version, which is ridiculously confusing, at least for a Portuguese learn…

It was super cute and the kids were adorable. Shin is such a good father. Serotonin on the brain
