Игра "Veterans Online" в стадии открытого бета-тестирования оставляет смешанные впечатления. С одной стороны, подкупает концепция тактического онлайн-шутера с акцентом на реализм и командную работу. Система кастомизации бойца достаточно глубокая, позволяя адаптировать его под разные стили игры. Графика, хоть и не является передовой, вполне добротная и создает нужную атмосферу. Но, с другой стороны, в игре ощущаются проблемы, свойственные бета-версиям. Баги и нестабильность сервера встречаются довольно часто, портя общее впечатление. Интерфейс кажется немного перегруженным и не всегда интуитивно понятным. Баланс оружия требует доработки, так как некоторые образцы явно превосходят другие по эффективности. Несмотря на эти недостатки, у "Veterans Online" есть потенциал стать интересным и востребованным проектом. Если разработчики прислушаются к отзывам игроков и исправят существующие проблемы, игра может занять свою нишу среди поклонников жанра. Пока же - это многообещающая, но все еще сырая бета. Буду следить за развитием!

if the devs are still around ...if it's not too much trouble, you should just release the game giving the option of LAN, and work on a single/multiplayer campaign. I know, I know - it's easier said than done, right? OK, but what's the alternative? all the work already done gets tossed. online only games are doomed to fail these days, and it's not going to get better, those days were gone as soon as gaming became beyond popular, and there are just way too many cooks in the kitchen trying to cut each other's throats, and baste their filets in the blood of the competition... or uhh, something like that.
