If you have a passion for eSports and you want to test your skills, your time has arrived: Way of Redemption was made for you.
For hundreds of years, the Gods have organized a tournament in which the winners’ redemption was granted. The chosen players, none other than great heroes fallen in disgrace, must honor the Gods by showing their true value.
The legendary ambassadors compete and take up multiple challenges in different arenas, fighting one to one or in groups of two against other alliances. It’s their chance to show their talent and unique skills.
In this sport, pantheons compete while Gods enjoy the show. But this is more than a game: it’s one of the most epic competitions ever, where their honor and most treasured belongings are at stake.

Players are divided on this tennis-combat hybrid. While some appreciate the core concept and note decent AI for single-player, most criticize the limited content (only 7 characters), boring gameplay that fails to make the sport engaging, and a poorly designed tutorial system that forces players to watch external YouTube videos rather than providing in-game instruction. The game's servers are now closed, making it primarily relevant only for local multiplayer, and reviewers suggest the original price didn't justify the sparse offering, though a few found value at a much lower cost.
You start the game and immediately get a bad impression. The first thing you see, is a button on which you need to click on. The button says “Tutorial”. Once you click on it, a YouTube video opens in your browser. There are 3 tutorials and you will have to click on each one of them (in order to really start the game), without being able to skip that process. This leads you to the game being minimized, a YouTube Link opened and you having to click on the game again 3 times. This starts well… I then launched my first match. Omg… What a horrible game. It is a boring version of ping pong… Yes! Exactly! It is hard to imagine, I know (I personally enjoy playing ping pong, but it is a rather simple sport). This game manages to make a fun sport be boring. Furthermore, there are only 7 characters and 2 maps to chose from. TWO maps… TWO. That’s so pathetic… You can’t call that “choice of maps”. And the game modes are: 1 vs 1 or 2 vs 2. Wooooow. That variety… The graphics are fine, but not very good either. There is no story mode or anything. You can just play one match after the other. Boring and cheap game. I played 4 games (to give the game a chance), but I was annoyed after my first …4 found this helpful

Non-M$ branded gampads work fine in d-input mode (for those having issues) The concept is fine and the game is decent But I didn't feel the amount of content merited this game's original retail especially since the game's tutorial relies on Youtube and I wouldn't place bets those videos will still be hosted ten years from now if you pull the game out again and need instructions I returned it Happily today, after the servers have been pulled (sending all the grievers to grieve elsewhere), i was reunited with this game at the much more appropriate price of 99 cents. But if they could add an ingame tutorial or even a manual I think the game is worth a GOG flavoured 6 dollar price range as the A.I is good enough for solo play and, of course, there's always local multiplayer as well3 found this helpful

Way of redemption was handed to me as a Steam Curator for review purposes. I must be honest at first glance I thought; no way am I going to be impressed with this one and it will almost certainly end up on my not recommended list. How wrong I was! This is a real gem, a rare treat and a surprisingly adept title with lots of depth. I try to approach all game reviews from a neutral perspective, I concede this is not always possible and on this occasion I was expecting very little. Initially my unwarranted preconceived opinions were rewarded; when I first loaded the game I was presented with a very dated, unpolished and tired looking UI. The graphics looked equally dated and the first comment that I wrote down on my review notes was…the music sounds OK. I was so convinced that this game was a wreck I immediately started looking for positives; because that is the kind of nice guy I am. I thought I am going to shred this title to bits with negativity and I want to soften that for the devs by pointing out some bits they got right. Well that is not how the review ended. == GOOD == Way of Redemption is a classic old school game in the sense that the gameplay and content is wh…1 found this helpful
