✦ AI summary
Players praise the addictive deck-building mechanics with creative card variety and interesting activation conditions, along with the charming pixel art style. However, they frequently criticize the game as punishingly difficult with poor balance, excessive randomness that overshadows strategy, and a lack of meaningful progression systems or tools to mitigate bad luck like card removal or rerolling options.
The gameplay is you train for a couple of rounds and then you battle, then train then battle etc... until you die or kill the demon king. You can obtain cards during training/battle. Ok so basically you have two types of cards: training and battle. Training cards = do stuff during training Battle cards = do stuff during battle During training/battle, you roll the slot machine from your deck. Now you can roll any type of card (training/battle). So ideally, you kind of want to balance out your deck so that you don't only roll say training cards during battle. The cards are pretty cool and a lot have activation conditions (ex) you need to roll x adjacent to the card). There's appears to be a huge variety of decks you can make and as someone that's new to this genre, It's been fun and challenging so far.7 found this helpful
Funny game, keep gambling and you will be the hero Edited: Come on guys, this game at this state is unfair, the meta-progression is really lame and there are not balanced at all (slime boss battle i think is quite unbeatable), there are not "reliccc/artifact" item at helping the build but the only raw luck, there is no mode to roll removal/banish or reroll type of item The game is not bad but now, is not balanced and there is no progression beetween the hours played3 found this helpful
it's really addictive but I have no idea how to win lol. too much randomization2 found this helpful
After reading the original Who Killed the Hero? light novel earlier this month, it was a nice surprise to see that they were making a game based on it. I'm admittedly not very familiar with this game genre, but I've found the deck-building enjoyable so far, and I like the simple pixel art style. Would recommend.2 found this helpful
