About Slots & Daggers
Steady your blade - and spin! After my last game SUMMERHOUSE, I wanted to make something radically different. Still small, but faster, with numbers, fights and goblins!
The result is SLOTS & DAGGERS, a strange little blend of slot machine and fantasy RPG.
To make this game I combined a lot of things I deeply love – weird fantasy worlds, crude drawings of strange little guys, old school crunchy hiphop drum machines and addictive arcade games that go “PLING PLING PLING” as they spit out little coins – with classic roguelike mechanics.
The features of this game are:
- Fun slot machine
- Weird fantasy world
- 4-8 hour campaign
- Crude drawings of strange little guys
- Retro visuals
- Crunchy hip hop drum machines
- ‘Egg arena’ high score mode for the truly determined
- Addictive arcade gameplay that goes “pling” a lot
- Numbers! Fights! Goblins!
I hope you have a good time with SLOTS & DAGGERS <3Cheers, Friedemann

There is a glass of Whiskey with a big ice cube and an orange slice in the corner. I have been sober for 3 years now, but this is the perfect game to drink Whiskey to.
very fun game but also very short, i was able to beat it in less than 2 hours in my first time playing, maybe i found a broken build early? idk maybe but was still fun.

Overall 7.5/10 A classic turn-based RPG with a twist, backed by great graphics and sound designs. Graphics 7.5/10 The graphics feels nostalgic, blending 90s inspired design with a clean modern look. Every action give a great feedback that makes it feels satisfying, especially the coin movement movement in particular is really well done. Loved it Sound 8.5/10 The sound design is the main star of this game. As the dev said in the trailer, it really captures that mechanical, physical slot machine feel, giving your brain a satisfying dopamine hit. Not only that but the timing and placement for the SFX is really well done IMO. Gameplay 6.5 The game loop is pretty short and easy to understand, making it easy for players to want to play one more run. Using slots as a mechanic to decide your action for the turn is a pretty neat idea. It creates that excitement of what will come out next, but that's also it's downside. The player doesn't feel in control. It feels more like a deck building game with auto-battle turned on. And that's why I think the player skill-check action is the most fun mechanics of this game. Because you can control it! However, because actions with skill checks…
