About Why God?
Ask GOD why he has made you so horrible
On an ordinary morning at the foot of the Tower of Babel, our protagonist, an amalgam, was sleeping very peacefully, when suddenly, a piece of mirror falls from the sky and hits him on the head, causing him to wake up.
The amalgam looks in all directions and realizes when looking at the ground the cause of its awakening.
Picking up one of the mirror fragments, the amalgam realizes that there is something moving in it. It took her a little while to realize that it was herself, after all, it was the first time she had seen her reflection. The amalgam could not believe that God had given it such a horrendous appearance.
At that moment she, indignant and angry with God's decision, decides to look at the top of the Tower of Babel and shout "Why God?!".
Since she doesn't respond, she decides to climb to the top of the tower to ask him face to face the reason for her ugliness.

Suggested by a friend — who has a keen eye when it comes to my game tastes. Apart from the not-so-neutral background story and references + the game title that should probably be [i]"Why, God?"[/i] (mind the difference while adding the comma), purely gameplay-wise it's a lot of fun. However, currently — game has just released — playing with WSAD + Space bar + buttons was not what I had in mind when grappling & swinging is done a lot! I had fun climbing and figuring out that boss (eventually), but remapping should be the minimum in any game; I dón't want to go with the workaround to remap externally ... 6.66/10 — A lot more potential, so have just hit [i]Follow[/i]! Wanted to play some in Arcade Mode, but I rather wait/look out for more control options 🤞4 found this helpful
Cute and small game, the mechanics are pretty interesting, getting into the flow of grabbing dashing and getting more and more speed is cool, it leads to being able to speed through the level quite fast once you get good enough. Seems to only have one level for now, but I can't wait for the rest to come out. Congratz to the team on the release! Here's hoping for many more!!4 found this helpful
you cant save from checkpoints in story mode overall a very buggy game
"Why God?" is a student project or something, I think. It's a 2D retro platformer with a swing element and a biblical theme as you try climb the tower of Babel to ask God why you look funny. There's a comical bent to it. Well, jokes on us, there is no God. I know this because I searched for 2D retro platformers on the Steam store and there were seventeen thousand of them. The graphics in this game are passable, but could be better. And while it's vital for any game to have impressive visuals (gaming is a visual medium, after all), there's more to a game than just the graphics. To be worth a gamers time, the game must match top tier visuals with top tier gameplay, and that's not happening here. On the matter of pricing and value for gamers, not every "free" game really is. There's often MTX, or content locked behind DLC, or donations being requested, or any other number of things that could mislead gamers, but in this case I'm glad to say this really does appear to be a fully free game. Nothing demonstrates a developers belief in themselves and their work than giving it away without any remuneration. This is a service to themselves, and the gaming industry, and should be …
