About World War Next

WORLD WAR NEXT IS IN ACTIVE DEVELOPMENT WITH NEW UPDATES EVERY WEEK AND A NEW MAP EVERY TWO WEEKS. WE FIX ALL REPORTED BUGS & ISSUES. WE RELY ON COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT TO HELP DECIDE WHICH FEATURES AND IMPROVEMENTS SHOULD COME NEXT.

World War Next is a low poly multiplayer FPS set during a World War 3 conflict. Team up in squads to battle it out on real-world locations like Odesa Port, Donbas, and Taiwan. Maps aim to focus on the Eastern European, South Pacific and Middle Eastern theatres. Choose from over 25 countries and vehicles like tanks, helicopters, boats and armored cars help players get around fast.

We've built the core gameplay features of World War Next and are now focused on adding more higher polished maps based on real locations, optimizing, improving player count and adding popular features that the community requests.

WHATS NEXT?

The full version of World War Next will focus on the features the players love the most. The goal is to find the perfect balance between casual and tactical FPS.

We want to improve on our humble offering of maps by adding more higher polished, higher quality maps, both large and small. The maps will be based on real possible World War 3 battle locations in the Pacific Theatre, Eastern European Theatre and Middle Eastern Theatre.

We want to improve support for more players, first 32 then 50+. We will add support for proximity voice chat with more weapons and a weapon levelling system. We want tighter vehicle controls with smoother, more optimized gameplay. We'll add more game modes and a completed UI/UX.

COMMUNITY

The community is the heart and soul of World War Next. The community will vote on which maps are next, which theatres and countries to focus on and what authentic tanks, planes, boats and weapons should be remade in low poly.

Our Discord server is the main hub for interactions. By joining, you can share feedback, report bugs, find squad members and engage with other players.

By being low poly, World War Next has the unique opportunity of being able to release an entirely new map within a week or two of a real battle breaking out. Being this adaptable allows us to stay on top of breaking news and create an experience unlike anything seen before. A live game to reflect the World War 3 conflict featuring authentic maps, vehicles, weapons, and uniforms – all in glorious low poly.

quote]Note: Dead PvP game This game contains no meaningful single player content. There are no available servers and no player population. This game cannot be played as intended.
This is just an asset flip of a bunch of low poly Unity assets slapped on a basic multiplayer shooter template. Obviously there's nothing here that would remotely appeal to PvP gamers already playing much better games. Did the developer not consider that gamers have options before they stole a bunch of Unity assets and tried to pass them off as their own? So, World War Next is a dead PvP game. Why did it fail? It's video game autopsy time! Almost every PvP exclusive game on Steam fails. Only a tiny proportion of them "go viral". This game failed for many of the same reasons those others fail. The chief of which is the developer thinking that their game will "go viral" without actually creating any reason for it do so. Competition amongst PvP centric games is extreme, and there's only a finite player base to appeal to. This game failed to reach any kind of critical mass and died as a result. Let's go into some of the reasons this particular game failed to appeal to gamer…

Game is pretty much unplayable. Has potential if the camera doesn't change directions every 5 seconds messing up my shooting. run a solid 400 fps and 30 ms ping yet this happens. Maybe that's why the game is dead devs.
