What Steam players say
Recent verbatim reviews from Steam — separate from playze.io community reviews below.
Zombie Panic in Wonderland is a fun gallery shooter with an interesting story and enjoyable co-op gameplay, especially at its budget price point, though it offers limited content with only 4 worlds and 12 levels that can be completed in roughly 30 minutes. Players consistently criticize the lack of substantial post-game content, sound mixing issues, and the game's abandoned state with incomplete features that were promised, making it a better fit as a sale purchase rather than a full-price buy, and many feel the developer should return to finish what they started.
I bought it because I remember playing the heck out of the Wii demo of this with my brother. We'd play this co op forever.. so yes I purchased this game. Its, not my go to on video games. So it was actually a bit tricky the first play through. Completed the story, and then beat the story again on arcade mode without actually dying that go! If you're good you can beat the story in about a half hour or so. Not much content, if you complete the arcade mode with a character it seems like you unlock all their outfits like I did with Snow White. Is it worth the ten dollars??? I mean... eh.. probably not. But I wouldn't refund it either. There are a total of
4
worlds and a total of
12
levels3 found this helpful
For $10, there's not a whole lot of content to be had. Plus there are several issues with the sound mixing. Sadly cannot recommend, looked really interesting but was overall disappointing.3 found this helpful

Zombie Panic In Wonderland is a fun little gallery shooter with a interesting story.
Should you get Zombie Panic in Wonderland DX? I don't think so. Yes, I do recommend it, but with the fact that it's been abandoned at this point with content announced and straight up half completed, I can't say it's a MUST BUY game. If Akaoni comes back to finish what they started and put the finishing touches on it, this is definitely worth getting. Get the graphics in the cutscenes to be less horrible at higher resolutions and add the last bits of content to the game to get parity with the now unobtainable mobile/3DS version of the game. That's what we all want, and it's what this game deserves. It's actually sad to think it may forever be left in this state. I can only tentatively say this is worth getting as of November 2025. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem like the planned content will ever come out, seeing it's been half a decade without any content since their last announcement and they haven't said they will finish production on any planned content. That said at 10$ this is effectively the best way to play this game in 2025 on PC. If you have it on your phone or 3DS or even on the Wii, this really is basically the same thing. It's less content than some other versions but …
