Junk Artists is a phenomenally unique game that is wonderfully cute and has so many loving flourishes built into the game that make it obvious this is a labor of love and passion. There's a ton of tiny little things that the game has built into it that just make it ooze charm, which is why it's so difficult for me to say that I sadly cannot recommend it. Because underneath all that charm, lies a series of very odd choices that ultimately bog the game experience down. Why do we have to unlock new materials and objects to place? Must everything be about retention mechanics? Why are we limited to using 3 of each object to draw what we're trying to draw, and why is there no option to remove that limit? In my limited time playing with a friend, we encountered a plethora of tiny little nitpicks that made the game very unfun to play despite everything else that is so truly loveable and well-crafted. It could very well be a personal issue, and other people may not feel as strongly about it, but ultimately it was something that bugged us. That's not even to mention the lack of players, while it has a playerbase, it seems this base is entirely closed-off groups and you cannot actually fin…

I don't write many reviews, but I will say this game is quite a lot of fun. Imagine Pictionary, but instead of drawing you use "junk" to craft all sorts of things. I am very excited for upcoming updates with my only gripe is that the lobby size is limited to 6 people. With a group of friends I could see us having a great time for many hours. An additional note: When my friends an I had first bought the game, we had tried to load it up and play. Unfortunately, we were having some connectivity issues and weren't able to play. We were all saddened by this and I went to the games Discord for assistance. Literal minutes after I had messaged in the discord asking about the issue we were facing, I had a dev reach out to help. The next day, my friends and I were able to play and it was genuinely such a blast. I would def recommend this game for game play alone, but the fact that the devs took time out of their day to address a small issue goes a long way for me. Definitely worth picking up even if it is just for a night or two of fun with friends! 10/10 Would junk craft again

We, Junk Artists takes the familiar multiplayer guessing-game formula and gives it an imaginative twist by replacing pencils and traditional drawing tools with piles of discarded objects. Developed by Perfect Day Studio and published by Spiral Up Games, the game asks players to transform seemingly useless junk into recognizable pictures and visual clues. It is an immediately understandable concept, but the unpredictable collection of objects available makes even straightforward prompts surprisingly challenging. The result is a social game built around creativity, improvisation, and the inevitable comedy that happens when a carefully constructed masterpiece looks completely different to everyone else. Rather than drawing a picture from scratch, players assemble images using objects such as wheels, toys, clothing, containers, appliances, pieces of metal, and other miscellaneous scraps. These items can be moved, rotated, layered, and combined until they resemble whatever the current prompt requires. This makes the experience accessible to people who might normally avoid drawing games because they believe they cannot draw. Artistic technique matters far less than the ability to recogn…
